I love this restaurant. The theming is awesome and the food is great.

Pros:

Good food Great service

Cons:

It can be difficult to get a same day reservation, but if you plan ahead, it is usually one you can get.

Dined here in August 2021 and was very happy with the service and meal. My husband and I got to eat in the “secret room” and ordered from the “secret menu” which I thought was super fun and cute. We of course had to try the Brazilian cheese bread (delicious) and I had the secret noodle dish (also delicious); just the right amount of spice. We chose to eat lunch here, which was a nice break in the a/c from our Magic Kingdom day. I love the Jungle Cruise theme, as I have fond memories of the ride from childhood. The menu is a little more adventurous than your standard theme park food, so I wouldn’t recommend this to families with picky eaters.

Pros:

Everything we tried was delicious, theming and Easter eggs are awesome

Cons:

Not for picky eaters

SUPER cool atmosphere! Abosutely love how the cast members stay in cahrachter too. Great food, and i love the punny food names! Really ties in with the skippers on jungle crew, which the resteraunt is themed after. The secret room is awesome, and i absolutely love going there after riding jungle crew!

Pros:

Awesome atmoshpere, puns, funny cast members, cool secrets rooms and menu items, great food at reasonable prices!

This Place was amazing! I was laughing out loud with my server jokes, it truly felt as we never left the jungle cruise, I would recommend you to ride the ride before or after you eat there to feel as if the experience is connected. I had the secret menu item the Brazilian Pao de Queijo ( I'm Brazilian) so I can safely say it was fantastic. for my entrée I had the steak, and it was very delicious. This restaurant is now On my favorites list.

Pros:

Affordable table service

Cons:

None

This is my favorite table service restaurant in Magic Kingdom. The theming is amazing, and while I've been several times, I still haven't seen everything there is to see in this restaurant. As far as the food, I see and hear all the time that this is not a good place for picky eaters. Well, I am and extremely picky eater (literally 1 flavor at a time, 1 texture at a time) and I love the food here. My favorite dish is t, and I also he Hardy Har Char Sui Pork. I've also tried the Tastes Like Chicken (minus the chili sauce) and that was very good too. I really think that even picky eaters should give this spot a chance. I have never been disappointed with my meal or experience at Skipper Canteen!

Pros:

Great theme and atmosphere, excellent service, delicious food

Cons:

none

Ahhh! This is the absolute best for people who are gluten free and otherwise. The best restaurant in Magic Kingdom by far and usually pretty easy to get into. Mostly everything on their menu is allergy friendly and delicious! Great atmosphere as well- soooo many Jungle Cruise easter eggs and the service is so great- just like any Disney service but with a skipper humor twist. You will not be disappointed with this MK spot- it's also a great place to cool down while lines are long! Since Sunshine Tree Terrace is right next door, at the end of our meal we love to mobile order dole whips and once we get outside they are ready to go!

Pros:

Everything!

Cons:

Nothing!

A fun experience in the middle of adventureland, it was a great restaurant to escape the heat of the park while enjoying some food that was a little adventurous. Truly enjoyed interacting with our skipper waiter and would recommend this to any family who is looking for a table service meal in the Magic Kingdom.

Pros:

The atmosphere was top notch and so much fun. It definitely is a full dining experience with the decor and music. Not to mention the skippers, you get the jungle cruise jokes without being on the ride.

Cons:

While everyone in our party enjoyed what they ordered, I do feel the menu was a little to limited. Another couple of entree options could make this place a 10/10.

We visited Skipper Canteen on a recent trip and we’re excited to try it, as we had heard primarily good things.

While the theming is excellent and it was fun to basically have our own personal Jungle Cruise skipper as our waiter, we found the food to be a bit underwhelming. We LOVED the complimentary cheesy bread to start the meal. However, I got the “Tastes Like Chicken” based on several recommendations, and did not find it to be anything overly noteworthy. Tasted fine, not bad, but not as good as I was hoping.

We thought that Skipper Canteen made a case for being the best Table Service restaurant in Magic Kingdom, but also feel that that is not saying too much, as we think the pro-tip in MK is to focus on the delicious snacks and Quick Service, which as a bonus leaves more time for the massive amount of rides.

Pros:

Awesome Theming Jungle Cruise comedy brought to a meal CHEESY bread

Cons:

Entrees underwhelming Can take some time from park attractions, so perhaps better to choose better quality food at quick service

Warning this is coming from a mildly picky eater. I spent more time looking at the menu than I did eating the food. There are a ton of options which looks good but i found myself thinking "no because it has ..." this is not the place for you if you're picky but if you love to try new things this is perfect for you.

Pros:

Beautiful dinning room (ask for the butterfly booth)

Cons:

Too adventurous

This was the surprise hit of a wonderful vacation! We came here for Spring Break March 2022. We were lucky to get to eat here twice during our trip. The food is excellent. Highlights were the shrimp appetizer, the Perkins Thai Noodles, Taste Like Chicken(fabulous fried chicken) and the carrot-ginger soup. The kids loved the fried rice.

Pros:

Food is amazing, decor is lovely

Cons:
