I wasn't sure what to expect when I first ate here but I LOVED it. The food is interesting yet accessible and I found myself spending so much time just looking at all of the items hanging on the walls and asking about them. The servers were also incredible!
Pros:
Great service, quality food for a reasonable prices, something for everyone, interesting theming.Cons:
Theming not specific to any movie or character but it's great none the less.Reviewed by Anonymous Review Date: 09/04/2023

In my opinion, Skipper's Canteen is the BEST restaurant in Magic Kingdom. The food is a bit more on the adventurous side. I love the references to Jungle Cruise and all of hidden tidbits (library corridor?) Servers are great.
Pros:
Creative menu- well executed, fun theme (for teens and up), booze (and full bar with tasty cocktails.)Cons:
Might be too adventurous for young explorers, price.Reviewed by TouristAggie Review Date: 04/18/2023

I love eating at this restaurant! The theming is cool and adventurous. I also thought the food was great! I got the pork friend rice and split the noodles with my friend and they were both so good. The menu is a little different, but everyone in my party was able to find something they liked to eat.
Pros:
Great food & themingCons:
Food is different. If you're a picky eater, this place may not be your fave.Reviewed by AmyKCL Review Date: 08/06/2022

We're a family of four with two adventurous eaters (adults) and two picky eaters (kids). We ate at Skipper's in July 2022. We were seated in the main dining room, and we thought the Jungle Cruise theming was excellent. Our server was friendly, and the service was good. Our kids loved the Brazilian cheese bread appetizer (we asked for the sauce on the side), and my husband and I liked the quality and variety of the food and drink options. My husband had the short ribs, I had the Thai noodles with chicken, and the kids both had chicken bites with broccoli and white rice. My littlest ended the meal with a small birthday volcano cake which was a thoughtful surprise that made the meal even more memorable for him. We would definitely eat here again on a future trip.

Dined here in August 2021 and was very happy with the service and meal. My husband and I got to eat in the “secret room” and ordered from the “secret menu” which I thought was super fun and cute. We of course had to try the Brazilian cheese bread (delicious) and I had the secret noodle dish (also delicious); just the right amount of spice. We chose to eat lunch here, which was a nice break in the a/c from our Magic Kingdom day. I love the Jungle Cruise theme, as I have fond memories of the ride from childhood. The menu is a little more adventurous than your standard theme park food, so I wouldn’t recommend this to families with picky eaters.
