Sci-fi is a love hate kind of place. If you love cheesy 1950s nostalgia and sci-fi this place is great. My wife doesn’t though so I don’t get to go here as often as I would like. Another thing to note is we don’t do the dining plan so we’re not trying to maximize the bang for our buck which might be why I like the food. It’s a really good place for a burger and milk shake. I’m not sure I would go here for steak and seafood though.

I love it here. The theming is really cool and the prices are only a couple for dollars then the quick services. I’m not sure I’d use a table service on it if I had the dining plan. But if I was paying for everything out of pocket, I’d definitely come here.

The food was not the greatest during our visit. We wasted a meal credit on this location. We did not enjoy some of the shows that were playing on the screen while we were. It was scary.

I personally love it here, my family, not so much. The theming is very cool, sitting in a car eating is cool, drinks are cool and food is decent, just your average burgers and such, but it's a neat atmosphere. We've been twice and twice my family was just eh about it, but I loved it both times.

Great place, perfect atmosphere, delicious food. Only complaint is that the showreel on the cinema screen is a little short, if you are there for a full meal you will likely see the whole reel all the way through at least once.

Best theming for any restaurants in Disney, nice American food, lovely old black & white projections on the cinema screen. Particularly loved the Teriyaki Chicken tenders appetiser.Cons:

This is my favorite dining experience in Hollywood Studios! While the food is not out of this world, the experience itself is unlike anything else. You get to sit in a vintage car booth and watch old films just like a drive-in movie! The staff is so nice and help make it extra special. Some of my favorite Disney memories are from this restaurant. It is quite expensive, but so worth it! I'd highly recommend coming for lunch or dinner (same prices).

This is a staple of any of our visits for the dining in the cars and the cheesy movies. We ate here at 820 one evening so after the park close time so service was fairly quick and we were seated right away. Food was good and milk shakes very good as always. Server was quick and friendly so we had a good meal and good service. My kids 20 and 23 still love this place and we have to go every visit. Good change of pace and recommended. While the food is good its nothing great so don't expect 4 or 5 star dining. But the rest makes up for it.

For a restaurant that is not so easy to get a reservation at, I thought it’d be better. The concept and theming is pretty cool but definitely not worth the price. Food was “warm” but dry and bland. We had the meal which bring a little bit of everything (BBQ chicken, ribs, brisket, beans, cornbread, etc.) Ribs were salty, chicken was dry. The cornbread was the only edible food. I also didn’t enjoy the amount of small movie clips. I’d rather watch a whole feature film.

Best burger and shakes around. Never had a bad meal there. Go every time we are there. Love the cheesy horror movie clips.

I ate here twice this past October/November trip. The cheese steak sandwich was just delicious!!!
The first time we ate here, I had a reservation and was sat in a car. I watched quite a few people go to the podium without reservations and they were informed that they could ONLY be sat at the picnic tables in the back because they did not have a reservation. Good to know!
Anyway, my son and I sat in a car in the middle of the theatre and while it is DARK and hard to see the menu, I didn't feel like it took away from the experience because dining here is more of an experience. The films, cartoons, shorts are perfect and a lot of fun to watch.
My son had basic chicken and fries and I had the cheese steak and found it so delicious that I kept thinking about it for days!
So when we found ourselves trying to decide later in the week where to eat one night, I went to Sci Fi and asked for the non-reservation picnic table where we were sat promptly. It wasn't as fun as the car experience, admittedly, but service and food were just as fine before.
