Review for stay at Disney's Boardwalk Inn (non-DVC section):

I have stayed at the following Deluxe Resorts: Beach Club, Contemporary, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge and the Polynesian. Unfortunately the only one I would not stay at again is the Boardwalk based upon my recent experience. The Disney Refillable Mug station is the size of a closet located within the public Boadwalk Deli with only one small soda station with a very unclean and crowded area with broken soda sections. The main pool (The Luna) heater was broken the entire week and was told by a lifeguard there will be a major pool refurbishement with no intent of fixing the heater until next year. Hope that is not true for future guests. There is no table or desks in the rooms. There is inadequate tables within the lobby so if you want a to sit down some place and eat it's difficult. Very minimal staff checking people (only one) and no one at the concierge table for long length of time. You will find yourself going up and down stairs or elevators constantly as the lobby is on the second floor. Very difficult layout. There is extreme catering to DVC so you feel like a second class citizen if you are not a DVC member. I have actually had better service and food court for drinks etc at the value resort Pop century. Please think twice before booking a stay here as a non-DVC member.
I did communicate to the supervisor who was incredibly inappropriate and said this is how we do things here. It was bizarre so I did escalate to a manager who validated to me that the supervisor was inappropriate and validated that she has had many of the exact same concerns that I have brought to their attention. I told her I love Disney and just want things to improve for quests. Hopefully they will implement changes but for now I cannot recommend. In fact this at this time is my least favorite resort including the value resorts.

Pros:

Access to Epcot and Hollywood.

Cons:

Inadequate staff, no room tables or desks, inadequate place to sit down inside and eat, no heater at pool, inadequate refill stations for quests using using refillable mugs, and no refill stations at pool, terrible layout finding you will be going up and down constantly.

OMG LOCATION!

Pros:

Location, the boardwalk atmosphere, cleanliness.

Cons:

Lounge is small, and limited space available. Same for lounges on the boardwalk.

We stayed at the Boardwalk Inn for the 2nd time in November, 2024. Our 1st visit had been back in 2006 -- that visit was a truly magical stay and a wonderful memory for us. I'm sorry to say our latest visit left us disappointed. Our room was on a lower level, facing a pretty courtyard. The location meant we had to take 2 elevators and a staircase to get out to the Boardwalk Bakery/drink refill station. The room itself was spacious, but had no furniture other than 2 queen beds and a small pull out sofa, which my grandson was using as a bed. There were no chairs in the room, no table. Also, no rug on the floor, which looked and felt like cheap laminate. Our room was close to the elevator and we could hear the "ding" continually, as well as the conversation of all guests in the hallway/elevator area. I know that Disney now calls their mini fridges "beverage coolers," but they should call them "barely coolers." The half and half I purchased for my morning coffee spoiled. There were exactly 2 coffee pods provided. The main areas of the hotel are still beautiful. The pool & Boardwalk activities are still fun. The location is still sublime. However, we paid through the nose for a room we weren't even comfortable in. For my money, Port Orleans Riverside is a nicer resort.

Pros:

Location, Boardwalk Activities, Pool

Cons:

Disappointing room, tedious hike to refill station

Had room on third floor facing courtyard where movie screen was setup. It was a handicapped room that I did not request but had a king bed which I wanted. The room was noisy late into the night with people
screaming on the lawn and movies playing. We did not have facecloths in the bath and the shower was awful. The faucets were difficult to work with. The room did not feel fresh and clean. We had refillable mugs that were useless a
and inconvenient. There were people yelling in the hallway all night. This resort totally ruined my vacation, and I will never stay in this Motel6 again.

Pros:

Water craft transpotation

Cons:

Overpriced All Star Sportsd

While it certainly wasn't as bad as the art of animation resort, the cons absolutely outweigh the pros especially when you factor in how exorbitantly expensive this place is.

I encountered one genuinely polite cast member.

The food at the restaurants on the boardwalk is worse than the food inside the parks and equally expensive. You cannot charge Michelin starred prices for convenience store quality food and propose it as a long term strategy.

For most people, a Disney world vacation is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It is sad to see what has happened with what is supposed to be the most magical place on Earth.

Pros:

The only thing good about this resort is the proximity to two of the parks.

Cons:

This hotel is just a gussied up Hampton inn. Yes you can tell that it is recently refurbished but that's certainly does not qualify for how much Disney is charging for people to stay here.

My family loves staying at the Boardwalk. Most recently we had a Boardwalk View. I've heard some people say it is too noisy, but my experience couldn't have been any better. Wonderful view of the lake and Epcot. The pool is nicely tucked away, with great bar service and is compact enough it's easy to keep track of the kids. Location can't be beat. Epcot is a short walk. HS can be accessed via the skyline, boat or walking path (my favorite).

Pros:

Location to Epcot and HS Hotel Layout Restaurants and Boardwalk Activities

Cons:

I'm surprised someone hasn't gotten rolled over by the board walk bikes.

I wanted to LOVE this resort, but couldn’t get over a few major shortcomings. First, our check in was significantly delayed and then our room was not ready until almost 6pm. The rooms are in badly need of a refurbishment. I get that the theme is turn of the century boardwalk, but there’s a difference between theming and just dated. There were stained areas, doors that wouldnt properly shut etc. In the morning of check out, the housekeeping staff continued to knock on our door starting at 830am to check to see if we were leaving- huge turn off. There is no food options located within the building. You need to walk out on to the boardwalk to access any of this, which in rain or extreme heat can be a pain especially at the deluxe price point. On check in day, we went to the pool bar which was severely understaffed, only one employee working for a whole ton of pool guests, and I felt so bad for the bartender. It just seems like a lot of details from this hotel is just an afterthought, which for a deluxe hotel is unacceptable. I would rather pay the extra $50-80 per night to stay across the lake at the Yacht club

Pros:

Proximity to Epcot/HS, theming can be cute on boardwalk itself, views can be good

Cons:

Dated rooms, lack of in building food options, understaffed, pushy housekeeping, room not ready on time

We visited Boardwalk 6/1-6/6. First, the lobby smells amazing. The front desk cast member was very helpful getting our reservations together so we wouldn’t have to change rooms. Housekeeping took our trash daily and left towels as we needed. Also restocked toiletries and coffee when needed. Loved the lawn area where the movies were shown. Our view was amazing from our balcony - 5th floor view overlooking the main pool. The Flying Fish was very good. We went there to celebrate my son’s birthday. The Abracabar was fun and a cool vibe. Loved the pizza window - we got pizza a couple of times. Order early. The bakery was very good but the only place to fill our resort mugs. It’s fun to sit on the boardwalk, people watch and drink a margarita.

Pros:

Walking distance to Epcot and skyliners Food along Boardwalk Lobby smells amazing Amazing front desk staff

Cons:

No inside quick service Costly Dated in comparison the newly updated dvc villas that have the Murphy beds

We stayed at the Innkeepers Club. It was wonderful! The staff is enthusiastic and very helpful. There is a pleasant ambiance. After tiring days at the parks, returning to the Club level was welcoming.

Pros:

Food in the lounge is delicious. Club level is an oasis in the whirlwind of Disney World.

Cons:

The cons are not caused by the staff or club level. There some parents who just let their children scream, shove in front, run wild. Trying carrying a plate of food and a drink with all that underfoot. The parks are overrun with people staring at phones, large strollers and scooters. You have to navigate very carefully. We will return to Club level at the Boardwalk but will plan the next trip in at a less crowded time.

The Boardwalk Inn was one of my worst Disney stays I have had out of going there for 5 years and staying at 8 different resorts. The kitchen needed a refurbishment. The cabinet door on the bottom of the sink/ counter was about to fall off the hinge. The bed was a good bed for the room. The pool is a great edition to make it better. On our check out day the maids were very exited to clean the rooms. We were getting ready for the day when we have a knock on the door, they tell us that they really wanted to clean a room. We told them we were getting ready and we would leave when done and ready then like ten minutes later they don't even knock and come in and then left. We went to the front desk and told them and the cast member was so nice to us and for the inconvenience and gave us $40 to spend on anything. Long story short I was so happy to stay but then left disappointed.

Pros:

Great lobby, pool and The Boardwalk make up for the room.

Cons:

The room is outdated. Problems are bound to happen.
