This EPCOT Ride is Closing TOMORROW For Major Changes

Frozen Ever After closes tomorrow! The EPCOT ride is being refurbished starting January 26th and is set to reopen in February. We already have the scoop on some exciting new changes coming to the ride.

Frozen Ever After Hong Kong Disneyland

Frozen Ever After first opened in EPCOT’s Norway Pavilion in 2016, where the boat ride became wildly popular with children and families. The ride has been added to Hong Kong Disneyland and Disneyland Paris’ new park, Disney Adventure World.

Hong Kong Disneyland’s version of Frozen Ever After quickly went viral due to its high-tech Audio-Animatronics. EPCOT’s animatronics have characters with a projected face that provides them with better singing movements and facial expressions, but the technology has improved a lot in 10 years.

Frozen Ever After pioneered electric Audio-Animatronic figures. They use electric motors to produce smooth and quiet movements that are very lifelike and realistic. The technology was used for Hong Kong Disneyland’s Frozen Ever After in 2023.

EPCOT’s Frozen Ever After will be replaced with new Audio-Animatronics that resemble Hong Kong Disneyland’s, which are standard animatronics with broader facial movement that feel more lifelike.

Hong Kong Disneyland has an entire Frozen land where you can ride Frozen Ever After, watch the Playhouse in the Woods show, and meet Anna and Elsa, along with Wandering Oaken and baby trolls.

A second World of Frozen opens at Disneyland Paris on May 29th. It will have another version of the Frozen Ever After ride along with a new water show starring Olaf and Kristoff. It also has some fun new merch and sweet treats!
