Are Crowds Bad on New Year’s Day in Disney World? Let’s Find Out!

It’s 2026! Can you believe it?

It’s 2026!

If you’ve been to Disney World at all this holiday season, you know how packed the parks have been. Whether you were here to experience one of Disney World’s holiday parties, snack on the seasonal treats around the resort, check out the decorations, or a mix of it all, this season is one of the most popular out of the whole year. But what do crowds look like on New Year’s Day, after the wildness of the night before? Well, let’s take a look together, shall we?

We hopped on the Monorail from the Transportation and Ticket Center and headed into the park, and outside the gates, waiting to scan in, we got a glimpse of what the crowds are like.

When we got inside the park, we could see a good flow of people on Main Street U.S.A., but the crowds seemed manageable and were likely dispersed throughout the park.

We pulled up our My Disney Experience App around 12 PM and noticed that wait times were high. TRON had a wait of 95 minutes, which was the longest line in Magic Kingdom, with Seven Dwarfs Mine Train next at 75 minutes.

Space Mountain and Meet Mickey at Town Square Theater were both 45 minutes.

Pirates of the Caribbean was a 35-minute wait, while Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, Haunted Mansion, and Dumbo were all 30 minutes.

Really, those wait times aren’t bad at all! It feels like a pretty typical day in Disney World during the holiday season. New Year’s Eve was definitely more crowded, but we’re grateful to get some rides in while we visit. We can’t wait to keep you updated on all the latest Disney news throughout this next year, so stay tuned to AllEars!
