Soarin’ is going to look totally different in 2026!
Disney just revealed that Soarin’ at both EPCOT and Disney California Adventure will see some HUGE updates in 2026! While several lands around Disney World are currently under construction to undergo re-theming into new lands and bringing us brand new attractions and rides, that doesn’t mean Disney’s forgetting about the existing rides. Disney’s made changes lately to several popular attractions including Test Track and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and it appears we’re in for one more update coming that will change another beloved ride in a BIG way!
One of Disney’s most popular rides is getting a makeover in 2026. Soarin’ has been drawing in crowds for decades, and it’s no stranger to a facelift here and there.
Most recently, Soarin’ Around The World just completed an extended run at EPCOT from it’s former version, Soarin’ Over California to celebrate 100 years of Disney animation.
Soarin’s slow moving ride vehicle lifts you up and out into the open air via a chair lift while you take in iconic cities and scenic landscapes right before your eyes. Most of the current version of Soarin’ Around The World currently playing at EPCOT highlights locations you can expect to journey to on various Adventures By Disney vacations.
So if you’re looking to hitch a ride on Soarin’ in its current versions at either Disney World or Disneyland, you’ll need to be doing that soon. Major change is ahead for the popular ride next year and Disney’s just revealed a tease of what we can expect to find in its upcoming version.
Disney has just announced plans for a new version of Soarin’ to take to the skies next year. Disney’s Soarin’ Across America will begin over the summer of 2026 in both Disney World and Disneyland.

Disney shared that this new adventure will take us “soarin'” across both coast as the ride highlighting some of the country’s natural beauty and iconic cityscapes across the United States. But don’t think that this ride update to the scenery you’ll find throughout your flight will make this ride feel any less like itself! Disney’s also mentioned that several of the key elements that make Soarin’ unforgettable like the flight, the sights and score, even the scents will still be found throughout this upcoming version! Walt Disney Imagineering is already at work capturing more than a dozen breathtaking locations for the new flight and our interest in totally piqued to see the journey they take us on across the country!

When it becomes Soarin’ Around The World, I’ll be disappointed if there will be no scenes from my country, the Philippines
It would have been nice if they’d timed Soarin’ Across the USA to be available throughout 2026 for the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Oh well, whenever it comes out, it should be amazing!
This is great news! I find the current Soarin’ around the world to be lackluster in comparison to the original Soarin’ over California.
