Disney Vacation Planner

Background

This dessert party is located at the Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant, which is the huge restaurant to the right of Main Street, U.S.A. You’ll get all of your food here, as well as your exclusive viewing spot for the fireworks.

Time to party!

You can check in about 1.5 hours before the start of fireworks, and you’ll want to make sure you have an advanced registration booked. You can do this through the My Disney Experience app or through the Disney World website. Reservations become available 60 days in advance, and there is a limited number of spots each night. It’s like a party inside a party!

Limited seats!

The fireworks dessert party costs $119 for guests 10 and older and $75 for guests 3 to 9. It doesn’t matter which night you choose; the prices stay the same, unlike tickets for the actual party. Speaking of, you’ll need to make sure you have tickets to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party for the same night, since the party is not included with the dessert party cost.

Atmosphere

With your ticket, you’ll have access to a full buffet filled with lots of options, along with drinks, including beer and wine for those over 21.

Champagne!

There are treats like chocolate-dipped strawberries, mini cannoli, and chef-inspired creations. On the savory side, there are a variety of cheeses and crackers, but this experience is definitely for the sweet lovers.

So many treats!

Grab treats before the fireworks start, and then sit down to enjoy the show. That’s what you’re paying for, after all! The seats are on the terrace with a view straight at the castle. We love knowing that we’ll get to sit down during the show because a Halloween Party can be a long night, so this little break makes it easier to enjoy the rest of the night.

Food & Drinks

Fireworks

We think this is a great spot if you’re most interested in seeing the actual fireworks rather than the projections on the castle and Main Street, U.S.A. While this is a great choice for people who want an extra special experience during the party and don’t want to fight for a fight to watch the parades, you won’t get the full fireworks experience since the projections are a big part of the story.

Fireworks!

Keep in mind that during the party, there are various entertainment offerings that are often back-to-back. From the fireworks, stage show, and parade, it can be hectic trying to find a spot to view all three shows. This fireworks experience can help you have a guaranteed spot for the fireworks to relieve some of the pressure.

Magic or Tragic?

This fireworks dessert party should be on your must-do list if…

    • You’ve been to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary before and want an upgraded experience
    • You love access to unlimited desserts and other sweet treats
    • You don’t want to worry about securing a spot for fireworks

You might want to skip this experience if…

    • You are looking at doing more during your party night than just watching entertainment, since this experience can take longer than normal
    • You are looking for a less expensive experience, since this can add up quickly
    • You’re on a budget

Overall, we had a great time at the party, but we’re not sure it’s going to be worth it for everyone. The desserts were pretty standard (be prepared for lots of pudding treats), though the view of the fireworks and the champagne were highlights for us. Honestly, we’d pay for JUST a reserved view of the fireworks (without the treat buffet) if that was an option instead.

If you use a wheelchair or other accessibility device, this may be a nice option, as you don’t have to “fight” for a good fireworks view.

Unless you REALLY love desserts or REALLY feel passionate about not fighting for a good fireworks view, we don’t think the price is 100% “worth” this experience.
