6 Relentless Requests Disney Adults Keep Making in EPCOT

Disney Adults have spoken, and they are not subtle about what they want in EPCOT.

EPCOT

If you’ve spent any time in this park, especially during a festival or right after dark, you’ve probably overheard some version of these same demands. From nostalgic ride reboots to practical park upgrades, Disney Adults have a very specific EPCOT wish list — and they’re not giving up anytime soon. Let’s get into the top recurring requests we hear over and over again.

A Walk-Up List for GEO-82

This is EPCOT’s newest lounge, and of course, it’s Spaceship Earth-themed and ultra-cool. Naturally, that means getting in is a whole thing.

GEO-82

Right now, GEO-82 is reservation-only, and snagging a spot can feel like trying to book Cinderella’s Royal Table at 60 days out. The lounge is sleek, exclusive, and impossible to access on a whim — and Disney Adults want that to change.

Stunning

Over and over, we hear guests ask why there’s no walk-up list or virtual queue system for this spot. It doesn’t need to be a free-for-all, but some kind of day-of access for people already in the park would go a long way.

Bring Back Soarin’ Over California… for Good

This one always comes up when Soarin’ Around the World is running. People tolerate it, but they want the OG. The citrus smell. The orange groves. That nostalgic sense of flying over familiar, sunny places.

Soarin’ Over California

And sure, Disney does bring back Soarin’ Over California from time to time, usually as a limited-time offering during festivals or anniversaries. But the people want permanence. They want it year-round. Soarin’ Around the World might look flashier on paper, but ask any Disney Adult which version they’d rather have, and nine times out of ten, it’s California or bust.

More Tables and Seating During Festivals

If you’ve ever tried to juggle a plate of loaded mac and cheese, a festival cocktail, and a phone showing your group chat location, you know why this one makes the list.

Dessert!

EPCOT festivals are amazing, but sitting down to actually enjoy anything is a whole other issue. Disney Adults are constantly asking for more tables, more benches, more ANYTHING during festivals. Trash can dining has become the unofficial move, and while we’ve all done it, it’s not exactly ideal. A few more strategically placed standing tables would go a long way during peak festival times. We’re not asking for full-service patios — just a break from eating shrimp tostadas off a recycling bin.

Can We Talk About Parades? Or Lack Thereof?

EPCOT hasn’t had a traditional daytime parade in a very long time, and people are not over it. We do get lots of characters, but it’s not enough to scratch the itch for Disney Adults who want that parade magic in World Showcase.

World Showcase crowds

There’s room. There’s demand. And there’s a serious opportunity to celebrate the global themes of EPCOT with a unique, culturally inspired cavalcade or mini-parade. Even a once-a-day show with music and movement around the lagoon would make people happy. EPCOT deserves its own daytime magic, and right now, it’s missing.

Bring Back Both World Showcase Boats

Disney transportation within EPCOT isn’t something you think about — until you’ve walked the full loop of World Showcase three times and you feel like your legs hate you.

FriendShip Boat

Back in the day, there were two Friendship Boat routes that helped people cut across the lagoon. Now we’re down to just one, and Disney Adults keep asking for the return of the second route. It’s not just about convenience—it’s about having more options. Whether you’re navigating food booths or trying to make it to a dining reservation on time, having more boat service makes a huge difference. The nostalgia helps, too.

A Figment Re-theme That Still Honors Figment

Look, no one’s trying to erase Figment. He’s an icon. But EPCOT fans have been asking for a serious overhaul of Journey Into Imagination with Figment for years.

Journey into Imagination with Figment

The current ride just isn’t doing it for a lot of people. It feels dated, and not in the charming, retro way. Disney Adults want Figment to shine again, not disappear. A new version of the attraction that’s more immersive, imaginative, and visually exciting (and that maybe brings back some of the old-school elements) would be a dream. They don’t want Figment gone… they just want him to have the ride he deserves.

Hi, Figgy!

These aren’t wild ideas or out-there dreams. They’re consistent requests from the same crowd that buys the popcorn buckets, memorizes festival menus, and defends EPCOT to anyone who doesn’t get it. So, Disney—if you’re listening, just know your EPCOT die-hards have their wish lists ready.

  1. I wish Epcot would bring back Horizons! Also, expand the timeframe for the Impressions de France film in the France Pavillion. Beauty and the Beast’s sing-along is not in the same league.

    1. Yes, Lynn! I have suggested to Disney many times to rotate Impressions throughout the day so you don’t have to make the difficult choice to rope-drop it or stay late into the evening to catch it. I can’t imagine it takes that long to swap out the film.
