REVIEW: A LOADED Churro Is HIDING in Disney World, but We Know Where To Find It!

For the first time in what feels like forever, BOTH of Disney World’s water parks are open at the SAME time!

Blizzard Beach

That means you can spend a day hanging out at Blizzard Beach OR Typhoon Lagoon, and your preference may depend on a lot of different factors. For some people, the food and snacks on the menu might be an important part of the experience, and we’ve gotta say, these three new water park snacks are all great, but one REALLY shocked us!

Over at I.C. Expeditions at Blizzard Beach, you can grab the S’mores Churro for $9.29. This is Churro Pieces topped with Graham Cracker Crumbs, Marshmallow Whipped Cream, Chocolate Sauce, and Toasted Mini Marshmallows. That’s right — loaded churros are hiding in a WATER PARK.

S’mores Churro

This really DOES taste like s’mores to us! The churros were the tiniest bit tougher than what we would have liked, but we’ll give it a pass since it’s something we’re used to in Disney World. The toasted marshmallows and chocolate drizzle are fantastic, especially because the toasted factor gives it that char flavor you get from roasting a s’more! Overall, this was better than we expected it to be, and we think it’s a great price for how big and shareable it is for visitors. So far, we’re impressed!

We’re big fans!

Meanwhile, over at Typhoon Lagoon, you can grab the DOLE Whip Watermelon with Chamoy and Chili-Lime Spice from the Snack Shack for $7.29. This is DOLE Whip Watermelon topped off with Chamoy and Zesty Chili-Lime Spice.

DOLE Whip Watermelon with Chamoy and Chili-Lime Spice

This has more of an artificial candy watermelon taste to it, but paired with the chili-lime spice and the chamoy, it really elevates the dish! It has a low heat to it, but not enough to be overwhelming — it almost gives it a sour taste with how sweet the watermelon flavor tastes. If you’re looking for something that spices up DOLE Whip just a bit, and you love a mix of sweet and spicy, this is absolutely a treat to try out!

Delicious!

Finally, we have the Soft-serve Cookie Sandwich for $6.79 from Happy Landings Ice Cream at Typhoon Lagoon. This is Vanilla Soft-serve sandwiched between two Chocolate Chip Cookies and rolled in Rainbow Sprinkles. Ohh — PRETTY!

Soft-serve Cookie Sandwich

This is a pretty standard treat, so it’s nothing to write home about, but the cookies are soft and chewy with LOTS of chocolate. It’s a pretty decent size, especially for the price, but you’ve really got to love sweets for this one!

It’s a LOT of sugar!

We think this is a much better option than, say, a Mickey Premium Bar, which is about the same price and not as fun (since you can buy them at the store). If you’re looking for something simple, we say it’s a great choice!
