NEWS: Blizzard Beach Reopening Date Announced at Disney World

Who’s ready to spend their winter season in Disney World at a water park?! If that’s you, we’ve got great news!

Let’s go tubing!

Right now, Typhoon Lagoon is open in Disney World while Blizzard Beach is closed for refurbishment, but in February, that all changes. Typhoon Lagoon will close for the season on February 14th, and Blizzard Beach will reopen the next day.

That’s right, Blizzard Beach is reopening on February 15th, 2026 for the season, and there are plenty of ways to enjoy this park (as long as it’s not too cold!). Slides, a lazy river, and a giant wave pool are all part of the family fun the park has to offer.

Along with this exciting news from Disney comes the announcement of a Disney Water Park Pass. This is $89 for adults and $83 for kids ages 3-9, and allows you to visit over and over again from now until May 9th, 2026. There are some blockout dates during Spring Break season.

Throughout the year, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon usually switch operations back and forth, with only one open at a time. There was a period of time in 2025 when they were both open together, so fingers crossed we’ll get to experience that in 2026!

And don’t forget, in 2026, Disney Resort guests can get free entry to a water park on their arrival day, in the SUMMER ONLY. This perk was available all year in 2025, but the dates have been limited for the new year. Disney hasn’t yet announced what dates “summer” will be.
