CONFIRMED: A Major EPCOT Fireworks Change Is Happening on July 4th

If you were hoping to catch one of the rarest fireworks shows in EPCOT next month, you’re in luck!

Fourth of July Meet and Greet in EPCOT in 2023

The Fourth of July brings lots of fun activities to the parks that you don’t often find outside of holidays. In EPCOT and Magic Kingdom, special fireworks shows only play on or around the Fourth of July. If you were hoping to see the special EPCOT fireworks show this year, you’re in luck — it’s just been confirmed to be returning!

On the Seasonal Celebrations page, you’ll see that it’s mentioned that Fourth of July fireworks take place in Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, but an official confirmation for this year had not been made yet.

However, when we checked our My Disney Experience App, we DID find it listed! The Heartbeat of Freedom fireworks will return to EPCOT this year!

EPCOT will feature this once-per-year show immediately following its regular nighttime show, Luminous — The Symphony of Us. If you’re in EPCOT that night, be sure to stick around after Luminous for some special celebratory fireworks!

If you’re planning to head to EPCOT this year for the holiday, remember that Test Track won’t be open just yet, as it’s reopening on July 22nd to the public, and there won’t be an EPCOT festival going on. However, don’t worry — there’s still plenty to do and experience!
