As much as we enjoy dining at Disney World, we have to admit that not every restaurant is a winner…

Such is the case with some dining locations at Magic Kingdom. Restaurants such as The Diamond Horseshoe and Tony’s Town Square Restaurant have garnered some pretty mixed reactions (to put it lightly) over the years, but some of Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café‘s reviews are so bad, we felt obliged to share them with you.
Our readers can leave reviews for every Disney World ride, hotel, and restaurant on the AllEars website, and some folks did not hold back on their negative thoughts of Cosmic Ray’s.

Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe currently holds a 6.84 out of 10 rating on our site with a recommendation percentage of 78% on 128 reviews. These are modest numbers that don’t signify a total disaster. As one of Disney World’s cheapest restaurants, this quick-service spot isn’t beholden to high standards, but, for some, the low standards still aren’t being met.

One recent reviewer wrote, “Raw chicken need I say more. The food here just keeps going downhill. It used to be ok but now just bad all around. Stale rolls, cold food and raw food.”Â
Delivering something edible should be the bare minimum.

A review from 2021 stated, “It tastes like rubber. Don’t recommend.”Â
Another review from 2021 added, “Worst place to eat in Disney World. It is like Chucky Chesse [sic] but dirty.”

We aren’t particularly fond of the food here either, but what really turns us off from Cosmic Ray’s is how busy it can get.
Still, the restaurant has plenty of positive reviews, and the recommendation percentage is still above 50%, so there’s a good chance you might like this quick-service restaurant — or maybe you already do and totally disagree with these reviews!

If you still love Cosmic Ray’s or want to try it out, don’t let us discourage you! Stop and by and share your review on our site!
In the meantime, stay tuned right here for all the latest reviews, updates, and more from Disney World!

I remember when Cosmic Rays had rotisserie chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. It was so good. I wish they’d bring good food back to MK.
Food was so bad that I wrote guest services and got a refund. We had the french fries and impossible burger. To top it all off, our order was gluten free, so a regular person couldn’t hand us the order. They had to wait on a special dietary needs person – just to hand us a tray that was sitting right there. Took so long that all the food was cold by the time I made it back to the table. But no worries. It would’t have been good even if it had been hot. How you manage to ruin french fries is beyond me. It was my very first impossible burger. Never eating one of those hockey pucks again.
