Sorry Muppets fans, but the time is almost here to say goodbye!

It’s going to be a tough week for lots of Disney fans, as this is the last time we’ll be lighting the lights for the Muppet show at Muppet*Vision 3D. Thankfully, Hollywood Studios has a special surprise in store for fans this week, giving them plenty of time to bid farewell to the iconic attraction.
The last day to experience Muppet*Vision 3D will be June 7th. That’s this Saturday, so mark your calendars! A lot of Disney fans were hoping this day would never come, but alas, here we are. There is something very special behind this ride, as it was the last project Jim Henson directed and voiced Kermit before his passing. The storyline follows a tour of the Muppet Studios with Kermit the Frog — showing off the new technology of 3D.

If you want to watch it a couple more times this week, don’t worry, you will get a lot of time to get this show in. Disney will be extending Hollywood Studios’ hours for June 5th, 6th, and 7th — before going back to normal hours on June 8th.

On June 5th through June 7th, the park will be open from 9 AM to 10 PM — giving fans an extra hour from the normal 9 PM closing time. Guests with early entry will get a long 8:30 AM to 10 PM for their park days!

So, thanks to Disney, we’re going to get more time with the beloved attraction. Not only that, but also more time with the Muppets Courtyard as a whole. Muppets Courtyard will be permanently closing alongside the attraction on June 8th. That, of course, means the 7th is your last day to get pizza from PizzeRizzo!

So go enjoy the show put on by some of your favorite iconic Muppet characters, who will surely put on a grand performance like they always do. Things will get a little messy when the spirit of 3D breaks out of Beaker’s lab. The show also features animatronics and even a character appearance of Sweetums!

You might be sad for now, but keep your head up Muppets fans, because there are brighter days ahead. They’re staying in Hollywood Studios, they’re just moving over to Sunset Boulevard! The Muppets are going to be taking over Rock ‘n’ Roll Roller Coaster. It might not be what everyone wants, but hey, at least the Muppets will still have a home at the park.

There is currently no information on when this attraction could be re-themed, but Disney is probably waiting till the closing of Muppet Vision. It’ll be interesting to see what will come of this ride, and we’ll be on the lookout for any information Disney releases!

We hope your final goodbyes aren’t too hard — at least you’ll get the extra hours! For more news and updates on all things Disney, be sure to follow us at AllEars.
