Get ready — Disney has revealed some BIG news about a Magic Kingdom change!

Country Bear Jamboree is in the process of being TRANSFORMED to feature a NEW act inspired by classic variety shows found in Nashville, Tennessee. The update to this country western musical revue, performed by animatronic bears, was previously set to debut in the summer of 2024 — but now we have an official opening date!
The updated Country Bear Jamboree show will open on July 17th, 2024!

The news was announced at a media event in Magic Kingdom on June 10th. We also got to meet Wendell and Big Al before the big reveal!

That’s not all — look at this epic concept art for the new show! It shows off some of the new outfits (including the new looks for Bubbles, Bunny, and Beulah that we saw a few weeks ago), and the chaos that we can expect from the revamped attraction!

Expect to see this in Frontierland now. Yes, that’s the new logo for the show!

Park Pass reservations are not required for date-based tickets anymore. But if you have an Annual Pass or other non-date-based ticket and still need to make Park Passes, be sure to grab that Magic Kingdom Park Pass for the opening date as soon as you can. We expect those could fill up!

This attraction, which has been around since 1971, was one of the last projects that Walt Disney himself helped to create. But now it’ll have some new touches.

While there will be some fun new elements, Disney has assured fans that “The Country Bear Jamboree will still have the fun and friendly tone fans enjoy with the same famous characters like the loveable Trixie, Big Al, and others.”

In the new act, Disney partnered with Nashville musicians to bring pop-country, rockabilly, and bluegrass flair to classic Disney songs. Disney has stated, “While the Country Bear Musical Jamboree will include easter eggs from the beginning to the end including a familiar tune fans may remember, the bears will sing new, reinterpreted Disney tunes in different genres of country music.” We’ll even be getting a new version of “Bare Necessities” in a rockabilly style! Disney also recently shared a look at two more songs coming to the show — “A Whole New World” and “Try Everything”.

Get a peek at a recording session for the show below.
We’ll be on the lookout for more details, so stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest!
