Inside Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is a tiki bar with such a rich backstory and atmosphere that you’ll forget you’re in Florida. But sometimes, the best parts of a Disney Resort are the secret spots that help take you out of all the sensations in Disney World.

Disney’s Contemporary Resort has a lot going on. Chef Mickey’s is a child’s character-meal heaven, the iconic Gingerbread display draws a crowd in the winter, and Monorails run through the building! With all of the commotion, would you believe that there is actually a haven of calm hiding in this resort?

On the second floor, not far from the California Grill check-in, there are some pretty zen seating areas.

This section is off to the side where the convention center is and is often uncrowded. The sofas are comfortable and quiet, and the sections have dividers between them — so they are a little secluded.

Cozy seats

As you make your way around the different sections of the convention center, you’ll find even more of these seating areas with varying table types. Some are better for finding a quiet spot to get some work done, and others have cozy seats if you’re looking to just relax.
