The New Scavenger Hunt That Has Changed EPCOT's World Showcase

Disney World is full of exciting experiences, innovative technology, and a whole lot of fun.

So, what happens when all three come together? A brand new game designed to take your Disney World trip to a new level! The DuckTales World Showcase Adventure game has finally arrived in EPCOT — so come check it out with us!

After much anticipation, the DuckTales World Showcase Adventure game is now in EPCOT! It was originally supposed to replace Agent P’s Scavenger Hunt back years ago, but its debut was put on hold due to the pandemic. Disney later shared that it would debut on December 16th, 2023! And now it’s officially here — let’s check it out together.

First things first, you’ll need to download the Play Disney Parks app and make sure you turn on your Bluetooth. You’ll also need to be in EPCOT to play! Look for the games in the app that you can play in EPCOT and swipe until you get to the DuckTales option. Then, tap “Let’s Go!”

We began our journey at the Mexico pavilion. The app directed us to get there and press the “OK” button to activate the adventure. Once we did that, we were shown a little video featuring some DuckTales characters. It gave some backstory to the game. Turns out we’ve signed up for the “archeological expedition of the century” — recovering an idol from the Toucan Pyramid. Things got complicated when a nemesis tried to complicate our plans.

After the video, the app directed us to go into the temple to get more instructions.

At one point we were directed to go to a part that features a Day of the Dead figure.

We won’t give too much away but just know that there are lots of interactive elements that make up this entire experience! It’s a great way to explore the pavilions as well because it may direct you to spots you’ve never even seen before.

Our next adventure took us to Norway, where we were prompted to look for the Fjording sign.

There it is!

We also had to look for the troll.

Found him!

The app prompted us to look for what he had in his hand!

After certain question-and-answer pieces, you will then unlock the interactive elements.

In this case, it involved the whole HEAD of the troll opening up to display a robot set-up below!
