We’ve been exploring Disney’s Animal Kingdom today during its Annual Passholder Preview, and BOY has it been a day! From soaring on a Banshee on Flight of Passage to scoping out the mask-free Relaxation Stations, we’ve had quite the adventure already.
While we were traveling around the waterways surrounding Discovery Island, we couldn’t help but notice some familiar faces…and you won’t BELIEVE where we found them!
Like Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom has several different characters cavalcades throughout the day where guests can see a few of their favorites! Though one big difference — they are on the WATER! That’s right: their character cavalcades take place on BOATS! How cute is that!?
Discovery River Character Cruise
The Discovery River Character Cruises can be seen all around the waterways surrounding Discovery Island and features Animal Kingdom’s most popular characters. We spotted Chip and Dale in their ADORABLE dino outfits, as well as Goofy!
We spotted another river cruise boat later in the day with Timon and Rafiki!
Discovery Island Drummers
In addition to character cavalcades on water, you can also catch the Discovery Island Drummers bringing the beat, also on a boat!
We’re going to keep our eyes peeled for Donald’s Dino Boat Bash and the Mickey & Friends Flotilla throughout the day so check back!
