Construction Hits This Popular Disney World Hotel in One Month

There is so much going on at Disney World right now, we bet you forgot about this hotel refurbishment.

Magic Kingdom is undergoing its major expansion, Hollywood Studios is developing Monstropolis, and Animal Kingdom is making huge changes. Outside the parks, construction is underway at the resorts as well. That includes construction that will be beginning very soon on a popular Disney World hotel.

If you’ve got a Disney trip in the future and you’re planning on staying at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, you’re going to want to prepare for a leghnty construction period. Starting in May 2026 and continuing through January 2027, refurbishments will begin on the rooms in the Jambo House.

The popular Disney World hotel has two main sections — the Jambo House and Kidani Village. The Kidani Village rooms have been under construction since October 2025 right now, and will be finished in May 2026.

With this new refurbishment just around the corner, you may want to consider booking over at Kidani Village instead of the Jambo House. This would put you in a spot where you may be less likely to hear or see construction happening around on the hotel rooms during the day.

Disney is usually does as best they can to not disrupt the guests during their work. However, that doesn’t mean it’s going to be perfectly hidden and quiet, which may come into play when you stay there. Just something to consider when you’re booking.
