HUGE Dining Change Hits Disneyland Resort

We’ve just gotten some major news out of Disneyland Resort that you need to know about.

After over 25 years at Disneyland Resort, it’s being reported that the resort’s Culinary Director, Andrew Sutton, has left the company. However, it’s not clear exactly when or how it all went down. Here’s what we know.

According to the Orange County Register, Andrew Sutton was the Culinary Director for Signature Dining at Disneyland Resort for over 25 years, but it was confirmed by Disneyland officials that he has now departed. Officials did not say how, or exactly when, he left the company.

Sutton joined Disney back in April 2000, and oversaw many restaurants, including Napa Rose at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel, Club 33 in Disneyland, Carthay Circle in Disney California Adventure, and many other signature dining spots.

This news follows a wave of leadership shifts within the company, but there’s no evidence to suggest that Sutton left his position due to any of them. Today, Josh D’Amaro steps up to become Disney CEO and Dana Walden becomes President and CCO of the company. To fill D’Amaro’s prior spot, Disneyland Resort President Thomas Mazloum has been named Chairman of Disney Experiences, and Jill Estorino, the former Disney Parks International President, was tapped to lead Disneyland Resort, which includes Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, Downtown Disney and the three Disney hotels on property.

At this time, there’s been no announcement as to who will become the new Culinary Director for Signature Dining to take Sutton’s place, but we’ll be sure to keep our eyes peeled for any news regarding the matter.
