REVIEW: A Popular Disney World Snack Is BACK and We Feel Whole Again

We have some exciting Animal Kingdom news – hand-scooped ice cream is BACK! This was previously sold at Dino-Bite Snacks in DinoLand, USA, but hasn’t been seen since it closed on October 20th, 2025.

Terra Treats

The new location for ice cream in Animal Kingdom is Terra Treats, a stand in Discovery Island. They have four flavors of ice cream, soda floats, and new specialty ice creams. Here’s our full review of the newest sweet treats!

Terra Treats now has hand-scooped Edy’s ice cream in vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, and cookies and cream. You can get it in a cup for $7.79 or a waffle bowl for $8.29. There’s also a soda float for $6.99, where you can get ice cream with Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Sprite, Minute Maid Lemonade, or Powerade.

Terra Treats New Menu

The first specialty treat we tried was the Cookie Dough Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich for $8.29. It’s a brownie base with vanilla ice cream and topped with a layer of edible cookie dough and chocolate chips. Now, this is different than the ice cream cookie sandwiches we were used to in DinoLand, but we are not complaining!

Cookie Dough Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich

We absolutely LOVED this ice cream sandwich. The cookie dough was tasty and had a nice, thick layer. The brownie was rich and super fudgy. The portion size was also great; we could easily share it between two people.

The Annual Passholder Exclusive Carrot Cake Sundae is $8.99. It’s vanilla ice cream in a waffle bowl with a birthday cake-flavored shell and chocolate carrot top. The sundae is topped with caramel sauce, roasted pecans, and carrot cake crumbs.

Carrot Cake Sundae

This is one of the cutest treats we’ve seen at Disney! We loved the waffle cone, which stayed crispy, but the birthday cake shell tasted just like vanilla to us. The vanilla ice cream was rich and just like DinoBite’s ice cream! The carrot cake topping had a strong flavor with lots of cinnamon and carrot taste. We couldn’t taste too much pecan or caramel, though.
