Annual Passholders — Disney World just gave us a new exclusive treat, and it’s ridiculously cute!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom just debuted a brand-new Annual Passholder exclusive treat, and it’s the kind of dessert that stops you in your tracks when you see it. Between the presentation and the flavor combo, this one felt like an immediate must-try.
Disney World just dropped a brand-new Annual Passholder exclusive treat over at Terra Treats, and honestly…it might be one of the cutest desserts they’ve done in a long time! It’s called the Carrot Cake Sundae, it will cost you $8.99, and it comes in this crispy waffle bowl packed with hand-scooped vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, roasted pecans, and a ton of carrot cake crumbles. Then they top the whole thing with a birthday cake–flavored shell and the most adorable little chocolate carrot on top, which is just such a fun touch.

And the best part is that it’s not just cute — it’s actually really, really good! The vanilla ice cream is rich and creamy, and the carrot cake crumbles are honestly perfect. They’re super flavorful, with those warm cinnamon spices coming through, and there are enough of them that you actually get carrot cake in basically every bite (which is exactly what you want.) The pecans are more subtle (you’re not getting a huge nutty punch of flavor), but you do get that little hint of roasted pecan in the background.

The birthday cake shell on top is also a really nice texture moment. It’s not overly sweet (it mostly just tastes like vanilla), but it adds this crunch that the sundae really needs with all that soft ice cream underneath. And the waffle bowl is crispy and delicious, giving you even more texture so it doesn’t feel like you’re just eating straight ice cream the whole time.
One of our favorite little surprises is that the caramel sauce is kind of hidden underneath the shell, so you get these pockets of sweetness as you dig in instead of it being poured all over the top.

Overall, this is such a fun Passholder treat that’s festive, well-balanced, and totally worth trying if you’re in Animal Kingdom and want something a little different (and very snackable!) But you’ll want to hurry, as it’s only offered as a limited-time treat and Disney hasn’t specified an end date for it just yet.
Don’t go away — there’s PLENTY more Disney treats and eats to try all the time! Be sure to check back with us soon to see even more fun treats we’ve picked up around Disney World and see if they’re worth stopping for on your next trip.
