4 Things I’ll Never Buy Again in EPCOT’s Italy Pavilion

After countless EPCOT visits, I can tell you that in the Italy Pavilion, there are a few things there I’ll happily skip every single time, and you might too.

Italy Pavilion

EPCOT’s Italy Pavilion is one of the most visited stops in World Showcase, and it might feel like a no-brainer for food, drinks, and souvenirs. But after many visits (and taste-testing), I’ve realized that not everything here is worth your time and money. These are four things I personally skip every time I visit the Italy Pavilion, and here’s why.

1. Festival Booth Food in the Italy Pavilion

During EPCOT festivals, the Italy Pavilion often hosts a food booth that sounds enticing, especially if you’re craving classic Italian flavors. The problem? Compared to other festival booths around World Showcase, Italy’s offerings tend to be heavier, less creative, and not nearly as memorable.

When your money and your appetitie is precious like they are at EPCOT, I’d much rather save my room and dollars for more unique dishes elsewhere. If you’re craving Italian food specifically, the pizza walk-up window in Italy, Pizza al Taglio, is a far better option: fresher, more satisfying, and consistently one of the pavilion’s strongest quick bites.

2. Perfume from the Italy Pavilion

Italy does offer perfume options, but when it comes to fragrances in World Showcase, this pavilion just doesn’t stand out to me. If you’re looking to splurge on a fragrance souvenir, the France Pavilion delivers a more elevated experience, and you can get these engraved for personalization. For me, Italy’s perfume simply isn’t worth carrying around all day.

3. Tutto Italia Ristorante

Tutto Italia is one of those restaurants that seems like a must-do on paper, but in practice, it never quite delivers for me. The entrees are extremely heavy and filling, and while they’re fine, they’re not over the top enough to justify how much they slow down an EPCOT day.

I often leave feeling overly full and only mildly satisfied, which means I’ve sacrificed the chance to try more unique snacks later on. Instead, I skip Tutto Italia entirely and opt to relax at Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar, where you can enjoy smaller bites, great drinks, and a much better balance for a park day.

4. Gelato in the Italy Pavilion

Is the gelato at La Gelateria Toscana delicious? Absolutely. Is it worth the price? Not for me. While it’s undeniably refreshing, the gelato in Italy is expensive for what you get, especially when EPCOT offers other frozen treats that are just as good, if not better.

Personally, I’d rather wait and grab ice cream at L’Artisan des Glaces in the France Pavilion, where the portions feel more substantial, and the experience stands out more. When choosing where to spend snack money, France wins this battle every time.
