I have seen Disneyland evolve MAJORLY over the past several decades, but it’s tough to find any project that has made me more excited than the new celebrity restaurant coming to the resort.

This past fall, Disney revealed that a new restaurant headed by a celebrity chef will be coming to Downtown Disney. I can honestly say that I have NEVER been more excited for a Disney project, because the celebrity chef is Gordon Ramsay — my ultimate favorite. As a Disneyland local, Ramsay’s restaurants are far and few in between, so each year I drive out to Las Vegas (sometimes making multiple trips per year) to indulge in a bunch of his offerings on the Vegas Strip. I’ve gone so frequently that I’ve even dined near him at Gordon Ramsay Burger Las Vegas! Needless to say, I’m a super fan — and there are some announced items coming to his new Disneyland restaurant that I CAN’T WAIT to sink my teeth into.
The restaurant in question is Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby — a new British-themed gastropub that is currently being built atop the new Earl of Sandwich in Downtown Disney.

The world-famous chef partnered with the creators of Earl of Sandwich to create this new location, which is “poised to be a great gathering spot for visitors and locals.”
The restaurant will be inspired by London’s Carnaby Street during the 1960s, and will feature plush interiors with iconic British pop art and an “irresistible soundtrack” of British Invasion rock bands, as well as live music. It will also feature two outdoor terraces, a bar area, and signature booths.

We still have much to learn about the menu, but we do know about a few items that will pop up, starting with my all-time favorite — the beef Wellington. Know this, I’m completely serious when I say this is an honest-to-goodness “last meal” pick for me. I am absolutely OBSESSED with the Wellington, and it’s always been worth the price (and the eight-hour round-trip I take to get it). I’ve had this dish so many times at Ramsay restaurants that I’ve lost count. It’s been flawless each time. The meat melts in your mouth, the flavors are bold and delicious, and the dish, as a whole, is rare to find in Orange County.
This item alone completely justifies the restaurant’s existence, in my humble opinion.

I’m also excited for the fish and chips, which are also confirmed to be on the menu! One of my all-time favorite meals to grab on the go when I’m exploring the Vegas Strip, I’m stoked to see Gordon’s version making its way west to sunny Southern California! A British classic, it would be hard to fathom a reality where fish and chips weren’t available!

I’ve also had my fair share of Gordon Ramsay’s famous sticky toffee pudding, which will also be featured on The Carnaby menu! This delicious dessert is fantastic, and Ramsay’s go-to end-of-meal treat. Sophisticated but still a comfort dish, this dessert is beloved by foodies (myself included) and a must-try!

Finally, Disney also confirmed that the menu will feature a large selection of wine, beer, and signature cocktails. My experience with Gordon Ramsay beverages has been mostly pleasant, and I appreciate that several cocktails at his restaurants can be very creative. I can’t wait to see what’s offered at The Carnaby!

An opening date has yet to be announced, but you can bet we’ll let you know as soon as it’s revealed! Until then, keep it posted right here at AllEars for all the latest Disneyland news!
