Test Track Has Reopened in EPCOT, and You Won’t Believe the Crowds!

The time has FINALLY come!

Breedlove at Test Track

Test Track 3.0 has officially reopened at EPCOT, and we couldn’t be more excited about it. We’ve had our chance to check this ride out a couple of times and have brought you our full thoughts. But, now that the ride is open, what do crowds and wait times look like?!

Test Track 3.0 is OPEN! Unlike other Disney World ride openings that have used Virtual Queues, there’s just a regular standby line for the ride — so we were interested to see what wait times and crowds looked like come opening day!

Test Track

When we arrived at EPCOT, we noticed quite a few people waiting to rope drop the ride in the morning! Look at those crowds, guys.

Crowds waiting to rope drop

Any hope we had of the crowds dispersing to other park areas faded a bit as they all started to turn left toward World Discovery. Fingers crossed that some of these people are heading for Guardians of the Galaxy!

We’re moving!

The queue started to fill up quickly, and Cast Members had set up stanchions throughout the entire area in front of the ride. It took a few minutes for the wait time to populate in the app, so these people were jumping in the queue, ready to wait it out!

The queue is WILD

Once the wait time DID populate, it started at a whopping 120 minutes. That’s not quite as high as we’ve seen for some other rides reopening or opening for the first time in the past, but with Annual Passholder and Cast Member previews having already happened, it’s nothing to sniff at.

Look at all these people

Into the morning, the wait time dropped down to 75 minutes and seemed to hover there for a while. In the afternoon around 1PM, we checked in to find that the ride was experiencing some downtime.

Test Track is also part of the Lightning Lane Multi Pass as a Tier 1 attraction, so if you’re considering using Lightning Lane, this can be a great attraction choice if you don’t want to deal with waiting quite as long. Keep in mind that it will likely be a popular Lightning Lane choice, so get ready to snag it fast!

The Single Rider queue WAS open first thing in the morning, so make sure to look out for that if you’re interested in saving a bit of wait. The line wasn’t even out the building for that queue when we stopped by!

Hop in!

We’ll be keeping up with crowds and wait times throughout the opening day of Test Track 3.0 at EPCOT. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to AllEars for the latest Disney news and more!
