Something NEW has arrived at Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

There’s a lot to be excited about at Disney World now, with even more updates being added almost every time we turn around. A new verse is debuting at “it’s a small world,” we’re already seeing the beginnings of Cars Land construction in Frontierland, and we’re eagerly anticipating a brand-new nighttime parade in Magic Kingdom. But, if that wasn’t enough to have you running to the door, there’s another unique addition in Disney World, and you’ve just GOT to see it to believe it!
A unique character experience has just debuted at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. While there’s already a whole cast of familiar characters you can meet and interact with from the Star Wars films and shows, there are a few new additions that have made their way onto Batuu!

We spotted these little guys during their first venture out to explore the planet and Black Spire Outpost of Galaxy’s Edge. In their debut, there were three total BDX Droids. How CUTE!

The droids walked over to the front of the Millennium Falcon for a lesson in ship upkeep with its trusty pilot, Chewbacca. Chewy took a few minutes to show them around the ship, highlighting some of the tools he uses to keep it running. However, he ultimately walked off in frustration with them, as they were too distracted to learn about ship repairs with a curious crowd gathered to see them.

OH — we almost forgot to make a few introductions, so you’ll know who’s who! There’s Red — he’s the leader, and if you ask his fellow BDX Droids, he might take his status a little too seriously at times and is known to be a bit bossy. But, in true transparency, he’s got some sweet dance moves!

Grek is green and the newest to join the crew! She’s a sweetheart and still learning the ropes.

The orange one is Oskar — he’s a big goof at heart, and you won’t find this guy powering down that ball of energy anytime soon!

Besh, the fourth and blue BDX Droid, was undergoing recalibration at the time, but he’ll be out in no time to join his fellow BDX Droids to say, “hello!”
You can spot these new additions now through August 30th at Galaxy’s Edge on Tuesdays through Saturdays, at 10:30 AM, 11:30 AM, 12:30 PM, 3 PM, 4 PM, 5 PM, and their last appearance is 6 PM. You’ll want to check the My Disney Experience app to see where they’ll be appearing as they’ll wander around the Millennium Falcon and the TIE Echelon.

You’ll also want to take note of how the sky looks, as these droids are very sensitive to inclement weather. Even if there’s a misting of rain, you probably won’t see them come out if they’re scheduled to appear.

It was a joy to see these tiny droids roaming around Galaxy’s Edge, and they made everyone in the crowd laugh with their dancing, bopping around, and gushing over their small builds! It’s exciting to see Galaxy’s Edge bring even more Star Wars characters and droids to the lineup at Batuu.
