A brand-new parade is coming to the Magic Kingdom, and it’s bringing a MAJOR CHANGE with it!

Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away – the long-awaited and highly anticipated new nighttime parade is coming to the Magic Kingdom on July 20th. The new experience will bring new characters, music, merchandise, and technologically advanced floats to the park, as well as a big change to the park’s normal parade route.
According to Disney, when Disney Starlight debuts on the 20th, the parade will feature shows at 9 and 11 PM. However, “The parade will begin on Main Street, U.S.A. and travel along the parade route towards Frontierland to allow for better guest flow at the end of the night.”

In other words, Starlight will travel in the opposite direction from most Magic Kingdom parades, beginning at the front of the park and traveling to the back.

Disney Starlight will be a bright processional inspired by the classic Main Street Electrical Parade. The show is brought to life by the magic of the Blue Fairy” and features “enchanting moments unfold from favorite Disney and Pixar stories such as Moana, Peter Pan, Encanto, Frozen, Pinocchio and more.”

Characters appearing the parade will include The Blue Fairy, Peter Pan, Wendy, Asha, La Familia Madrigal (Mirabel, Isabela, Bruno), Elsa, Aurora, Prince Phillip, Tiana, Prince Naveen, Belle, Beast, Cinderella Prince Charming, Miguel, Pepita, Moana, Goofy, Pluto, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Snow White, Dopey, Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, Aladdin, Jasmine, Mickey Mouse, and Minnie Mouse. Phew — that’s a LOT of characters!

The company calls the parade a “perfect continuation of our legacy of nighttime parades, with bits of nostalgia sprinkled throughout a dazzling procession that raises the bar for the future,” as several members of the creative team are veterans of previous classic nighttime parades, including the Main Street Electrical Parade and SpectroMagic.

Disney Starlight, with its technologically advanced floats and new take on the park’s parade route, will debut at the Magic Kingdom on July 20th.
