4 MAJOR CHANGES Confirmed for 2025 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!

If you thought you knew everything there is to know about Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party already, think again!

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Disney just released details about this year’s upcoming Halloween event, and to say we’re excited is a huge understatement. But, while we’re experts in tackling everything the party has to offer in a single night, there are a few major changes that are happening to this year’s event that you don’t want to let catch you off guard.

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is Disney World’s premier Halloween event, and it’s a scream of a good time if we do say so ourselves. This year, the event will happen on select nights from August 15th to October 31st. We’re already looking forward to getting to trick or treat around the park, see the Hocus Pocus Villains Spelltacular stage show, and take in the party’s exclusive fireworks, Mickey’s Not So Spooky Spectacular.

But, even though there’s a lot that’s returning this year from years past, that’s not keeping Disney from making a few changes to this year’s festivities. Let’s take a look at the biggest changes coming this year!

A Much-Needed Character Glow Up

If you’ve ever been lucky enough to meet a particular couple of characters known to make their presence during party nights, you might have left that meet and greet feeling a little indifferent.

Jack and Sally meet and greet

While meeting the star-crossed couple from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas might be one of the highlights you’ll experience during Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, one particular half of the pair’s look might have felt a bit lackluster in the past.

Breedlove with Jack and Sally

In Disney’s announcement for the seasonal event’s return, we caught an updated glimpse of Jack and Sally and couldn’t help but notice the new glow up to the Pumpkin King’s face, err skull.

It seems that Jack’s face is much rounder in this tease and more closely resembles his form from the beloved film.

A Popular Disney World Character Meet and Greet Is CHANGING

Party Like The (Un)Dead

While this might not be the debut year of the popular DCOM franchise, Disney did confirm that we should expect to see the Zombies crew this Halloween season.

‘Zombies 4’

During Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, get ready to groove at a new dance party featuring the music and moves from Zombies 4, its cast of creepy characters, and more Zombies fan favorites.

The One Night You Do NOT Want to Go to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Disney World

Haunting Pricing

If the thought of a night of frights already has you shrieking, you might be more haunted by the increased prices for this year’s party nights.

Got your party wristband?

Couple that with the party dates beginning a little later this year than we saw last year and you could be in for quite a shock if you’re not planning ahead.

We’ll Be Seeing DOUBLE!

For the first time at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, we’ll finally get a chance to meet one of the most iconic duos together (in their spooky best)!

Mickey and Minnie Mouse will be meeting together, dressed in their chosen Halloween costumes, which gives us all the more reason to come dressed for the occasion ourselves.

Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean Characters CONFIRMED for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Open up, me hearties!

Now, this last point hasn’t been confirmed, but we got a clue. We’ve been waiting patiently for any further word on an opening date for Magic Kingdom’s upcoming lounge, the Beak and Barrel. This new Pirates-themed lounge will open later this year next to the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction.

Recently, Disney released a statement on its website saying that the lounge would be open during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, with reservations opening on June 12th. However, this statement has since been removed from the website. So we’ll just have to wait and see, but it’s possible you could visit during the party!

It could just be wishful thinking, but we could see a rowdy party with pirates being just the thing to make this new lounge open its doors!
