It’s FINALLY here, can you guys believe it?
Right now we’re LIVE from D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim, California where we’re expecting to hear a LOT of exciting news from Disney executives about what’s coming for the theme parks, for media and streaming, and beyond. There’s a LOT to take in and experience, which is why we’re breaking it ALL down for you right here. This is your one-stop shop for all things D23 news and announcements!
Friday, August 9th
We were up bright and early to be one of the first to enter the event, but we definitely weren’t alone!
However, after we went through security and were on our way to the front doors, we got some free merchandise!
Each attendee gets a free bag…
…a free lanyard…
…and a map that will help you get around the event (VERY important)!
And of course, we couldn’t miss admiring the big D23 statue commemorating the event!
Before long, we were inside and checking out the general exhibit floor!

This is where you’ll find all the different booths you can explore when you’re not in a panel.
We immediately hopped in line to meet Bluey and Bingo, who will be greeting guests throughout the whole weekend.
We also headed over to the Marvel booth to experience what the TVA (Time Variance Authority) experience had to offer.
It was VERY immersive, and we loved that we could TALK to Rocket (yes, from Guardians of the Galaxy!)

We also headed into the Disney Imagineering Booth to check out the model of the ride vehicle that’s coming to the NEW Thanos ride in Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure!
You can also walk through the gorgeous Avatar Experience, which displays the beauty that will be coming to the proposed Avatar land at Disneyland Resort.
Does this mean we’ll get an announcement soon? We sure hope so!

Disney also announced that a Descendants Zombies Worlds Collide Tour is coming in 2025! Tickets will go on sale in November this year.
Saturday
Day 2 started with TONS of exciting merchandise, like the scale model of Star Tours! Even the SEATBELTS work!

And at the World of Disney Product Experience, we got to see some amazing new merchandise! While some of it is only available at the event, a lot of it will be going on sale on the Disney Store website on August 12th!
WE saw some new merchandise like this The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad Loungefly (matching ears are also available)…
…and this Star Wars Backpack (again, matching ears also available)!
We also got to check out the Walt Disney Family Museum Booth, which is great for Disney history lovers.
Nearby is the StoryLiving by Disney Booth, which showed us what some of Disney’s communities look like.
We also checked out tons of new merchandise on the General Exhibit floor!
We saw tons of pins, shirts, lanyards — you name it!
And over at the BoxLunch booth, there are some REALLY cool Star Wars, Villains, and Marvel items to check out, so don’t miss stopping by.
OK, time for the most exciting part. Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event was the place to BE! We learned a LOT about what Disney is planning to do in the next few years, and let’s just say…we are PUMPED!
