FIRST LOOK: Disney Reveals Vehicle for NEW RIDE!

Something NEW is coming to Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure!

Disney had previously shared that a NEW RIDE all about the multiverse would be coming to the park. It’ll feature all kinds of Avengers heroes and villains (including a variant of Thanos called King Thanos). But now Disney has shared even more details.

During D23 The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Disney shared a FIRST LOOK at the ride vehicle for this new multiverse ride.

A maquette of the vehicle was on display. The description below the vehicle notes that it should allow guests to “feel like they’re flying alongside the Avengers.”

The vehicle is particularly important to the story of this ride. Why? Well, because according to the story, the new ride vehicle is what can transport recruits to new worlds in a matter of moments.

Disney shares, you “will join The Avengers on a new multi-world mission spanning destinations across the universe. Thanks to unique collaborations between inventors at Avengers Campus, the heroes have created a new vehicle capable of jumping between these worlds and even realities — on planet Earth and beyond.”

Some have drawn comparisons between the vehicle for this ride and the ride vehicles used in both The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man at Universal and the new Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventures ride in Tokyo.

This has led some to speculate that the new Avengers ride could use a lot of screens as part of the experience. Exact details regarding the attraction have yet to be fully revealed.

But, in a previous Instagram post, Walt Disney Imagineering did say that physical worlds for the attraction would be brought to life with “a blend of large-scale built environments and immersive media.”

We also know that the ride will be a “family adventure” where you’ll team up with “the Avengers and their allies to battle against foes in a multi-world experience, including King Thanos, a variant of the villain who, in his reality…won.”
