There’s an ABANDONED Store in Magic Kingdom…and We’re Starting to Get Worried

It appears that not all is well at Magic Kingdom in Disney World.

Magic Kingdom

Magic Kingdom has no shortage of amazing rides and themed experiences, and yet if you felt like something was missing, you’d be right!

We want to discuss one of the most forgotten spots in all of Magic Kingdom — Prairie Outpost & Supply.

Located in Frontierland, Prairie Outpost & Supply is home to iconic park confections such as Disney character apples, Mickey Krispy Treats, and more. The store also sells bulk candy and and pre-packaged Disney Parks snacks, including items from Disney’s Snacks with Character line. Or at least it did.

Frontierland

When the pandemic struck and Disney World was temporarily closed, Prairie Outpost & Supply closed like the rest of the shops. However, unlike many other stores, attractions, and entertainment options, it never came back the same.

Frontierland

It’s possible that Frontier Trading Post swallowed up the nearby shops to become one big shopping location. Still, regardless, the official Disney World website does NOT recognize Prairie Outpost & Supply as its own confectionary entity anymore.

Frontier Trading Post

At this point, it’s safe to assume that Prairie Outpost & Supply just doesn’t exist anymore, and its removal came incredibly quietly. What Disney has in store for the future of this space remains to be seen, but we’ll keep you posted if any updates develop.

Frontier Trading Post

As for Frontier Trading Post, you’ll find a collection of Western and Native American wear as well as a shopping spot for MagicBands and pins. This is also a hotspot for pin trading.

We hope a confectionary returns to Frontierland at some point. In the meantime, follow us here at AllEars for the latest Disney World news, tips, reviews, and more!
