The EPCOT Park Map Just Changed (And We LOVE It!)

It’s official — CommuniCore Hall and Plaza have opened and marked the end of the final phase of the EPCOT transformation.

We’ve been keeping an eye on all the updates, construction progress, announcements, and more, and we finally got to check out the space for ourselves! But, that’s not the only thing that just changed at EPCOT!

The EPCOT park map has officially CHANGED! Now that CommuniCore Hall and Plaza, the Mickey & Friends meet and greet, and the new Encanto show have all debuted at this park, the map needed an update to reflect those changes.

On the new map, we can clearly see that Disney has added labels for the Mickey & Friends meet and greet, CommuniCore Hall, the year-round Festival Favorites booth, and CommuniCore Plaza!

CommuniCore Hall is an indoor space described as the first “fully purpose-built structure in festival programming.” It will host many different experiences like cooking demonstrations, fine art galleries, kitchen and mixology demonstrations, and more.

CommuniCore Plaza is an outdoor space that will host all sorts of concerts, gardens, and shaded seating.

When you first step into CommuniCore Hall, you’ll be met with a large open space, lit up with different colored lights and highlighting each of the four areas of the park.

Over near the World Showcase area, you’ll also find an EPCOT mural, complete with the colors of each of the 4 sections, that you can take photos with!

And over at CommuniCore Plaza, you’ll find tons of open space to enjoy concerts and “¡Celebración Encanto!” that will take place each day! In the evenings, Latin Bands will be performing on this stage.

You can also check out the Mickey & Friends meet and greet! When you head inside, you’ll get to meet Mickey and a couple of his pals in different areas with unique backgrounds behind them! We met Goofy and Minnie when we checked it out, but we’re told those characters will rotate. Mickey will always be there, though!

Also kicking off on June 10th at Disney World is The Lion King 30th Anniversary celebration at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! The celebration will include a meet-and-greet with Timon and Rafiki, an animation experience based on the film, new photo opportunities, and themed merch and food.

And, as of June 10th, Joy from Inside Out will debut for her meet-and-greet at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The Pixar character recently stopped meeting guests at EPCOT, but will now meet fans at Hollywood Studios just in time for the premiere of Inside Out 2 on June 14th.
