Is It Just Us or Did You Notice Something Different About the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Ride Vehicles in Disney World?

Everything about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is getting a new coat of paint.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

As Splash Mountain’s transformation into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure nears its end and the latter prepares to open next month, we’re noticing more and more small changes to the attraction, including to the ride vehicles themselves.

From the moment Tiana’s Bayou Adventure was first announced, it was known that the attraction would be using much of the same ride system and infrastructure from Splash Mountain, including the log-themed ride vehicle boats.

Logs looking vibrant

Previously, we noticed it seems like the small woodland creatures that used to adorn the front of the logs appear to be gone for good — though, they could conceivably be added back onto the vehicles before the grand opening.

Recently, we took a closer look at the logs as Disney was testing them and noticed some interesting things. In general, we noticed that the logs look like they’ve been completely refurbished. The paint jobs look new, with the log details newly highlighted in a slightly more vibrant — or perhaps just less sun-worn — color scheme. On the other hand, it could just be that they look different with the water splashing on them. What do you think?

Note the missing animal.

We additionally spotted some holes in the back of the vehicles where testing poles and flags lock in, but upon closer inspection, they weren’t always present.

The hole on the back has always been there.
