EPCOT has some incredible shopping opportunities that you simply cannot find anywhere else!
You may be wondering why that is! We’ll tell you! With all of EPCOT’s pavilions found in the World Showcase, you don’t have to actually go to that country to get merchandise from it!
With so many countries to choose from, one of our favorite places to stop for merchandise is The Mitsukoshi Department Store! We have found what we think is some of the best merchandise that is unique to this store in the Japan Pavilion!
Starting off we’ve got the Calligraphy Buddha Board! This board utilizes a dry canvas and wet brush to introduce users to Japanese Kanji Calligraphy!
If you’re like us and love cats, this solar powered waving cat is for you! This is actually a maneki-neko, otherwise known in Japanese culture as the ‘beckoning cat’. This figurine is said to bring good luck to its owner and typically features a calico Japanese Bobtail.
Maybe you’re interested in something that will bring you zen? We found this Zen Garden kit! These garden kits are said to bring balance and serenity to your home or work environment.
You can also purchase personalized merchandise from Mitsukoshi! These personalized hand fans are perfect for keeping cool and bringing home a keepsake.
For those cold Florida days, keep warm with this Pikachu onesie! This onesie is incredible for any Pokémon fan!
Perhaps you need a new park bag? This Hello Kitty bag will keep all of your belongings safe and secure!
If you’re a collector of Funko Pops, this Demon Slayer Funko makes a unique addition to your collection. We constantly see Mitsukoshi adding and rotating through Funko Pops, so always be on the lookout during your visit!
We love our Pokémon merchandise and so does Mitsukoshi! Pokémon is a staple in Japanese culture since its creation in Japan in 1996. Mitsukoshi has this really awesome Pikachu figurine that would definitely make any Pokémon fan happy!
Also available at Mitsukoshi is this Zelda bag! Featuring a leather exterior with the Zelda emblem embossed on the bag, this bag is an awesome gift for any video game fan!
Possibly the cutest find are these Tiny Cats! The pavilion has a lot of tiny cat figurines but we were drawn to the shrimp ones specifically. These figurines feature cats and seafood, with many of them wearing shrimp on their head!
Like look at how incredibly adorable and silly these cat figures are! And they’re so TINY! Tiny things are simply more cute.
Finally, on the topic of tiny things, is the Popin’ Cookin’ food making kit! I remember when these were all the rage on Youtube and we think the appeal is how tiny the food making situation is. These kits take the smallest amount of ingredients and have you creating mini food items. It’s like if an Easy Bake Oven was made for an ant, and we’re here for it!
So make sure you check out Mitsukoshi the next time you’re in EPCOT and you might find your next take-home souvenir!
Make sure you’re following AllEars for all the latest merchandise updates!
We were just there (1/22-1/26) and we let our daughter pick an oyster to harvest a pearl in the Japan pavilion. She got a rare blue/silver pearl from it along with a piece of jewelry to hold it. I’d highly recommend this souvenir as well
