ALL Four Disney World Parks Are SOLD OUT Today — See the Crowds, Wait Times, and More!

The holiday season may be winding down throughout most of the U.S., but at Disney World, it’s still in full swing.

Christmas Eve crowds in Magic Kingdom

The holiday season will last through January 1st (and possibly a little after), meaning that the theme parks are going to be very busy, even after Christmas. If you’re wondering HOW busy things can get this time of year, we’ll tell you right now: park pass reservations for all four Disney World parks are currently sold out.

That’s right. If you’re visiting Disney World today and you do NOT have a park pass reservation, you may not be able to get into any of the four parks. There are no reservations left for Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom for today, December 27th.

Not only that, but Genie+ is still at its highest price ever, at $39 for Magic Kingdom and multiple parks, $32 for EPCOT, $35 for Hollywood Studios, and $29 for Animal Kingdom. The skip-the-line service originally hit this price on December 23rd and has stayed this high ever since.

So what does a sold out day look like in Disney World? When we arrived at the Transportation and Ticket Center to go to Magic Kingdom this morning, we started running into the crowds to catch the Monorail.

Pretty busy here

The entrance to get into Magic Kingdom, though, felt a lot busier.

The line to get into Main Street Bakery, aka Starbucks, was pretty long (it usually is first thing in the morning). Pro tip: skip Starbucks and head to the Joffrey’s in Tomorrowland instead.

We’re not sure if the crowds had anything to do with it, but Casey’s Corner was opened earlier than normal this morning.

What about those ride wait times? Well, Peter Pan’s Flight was up to 70 minutes this morning.

Over in Frontierland, things looked pretty busy.

Lots of people in Frontierland

We tried to catch the morning show in front of Cinderella Castle, but even after it was over, the crowds remained. It’s hard to move around right now.

Here’s a closer look at the wait times around 11AM. In Magic Kingdom, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train had the highest wait time with 160 minutes followed by Space Mountain, Peter Pan’s Flight, Princess Fairytale Hall, and Haunted Mansion.

Wowza! Even Animal Kingdom is posting some impressively long wait times especially at Flight of Passage, Na’vi River Journey, Kilimanjaro Safaris, Expedition Everest, and more.

Hollywood Studios is notorious for high wait times due to how many popular attractions the park holds…and that holds true today. Rise of the Resistance, Slinky Dog Dash, and Tower of Terror posted wait times of two hours or more.

Over in EPCOT, a park that typically has pretty tame wait times, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Test Track, and Frozen Ever After have triple-digit wait times.

So if you are headed to Disney World today with park pass reservations, you may want to pack your patience as you’ll be dealing with some crowds today. Ride lines are also likely to be pretty long, so although Genie+ is pricey right now, it could still be worth it if you want to knock out a lot of rides during your time in the parks.

We’ll keep an eye on the crowd situation throughout the rest of the holiday season, so check back with AllEars again soon.
