Disney World's 50th Anniversary Gold Statues Have CHANGED... Again

Disney World’s 50th Anniversary has come and gone, and taken a lot of things with it.

At least one element has remained, though — those golden 50th Anniversary character statues! The Fab 50 statues have stuck around long after the celebration ended, but on a recent park trip, we noticed that some of them had changed!

Disney removed all the 50th Anniversary-themed elements from the Fab 50 statues, but it looks like they may be getting another update! We spotted Stitch with a new symbol in his mouth that we can’t quite make out — can you?!

It matches the banners on the outside of the former Stitch’s Great Escape attraction and looks pretty futuristic — maybe it’s just a new symbol for Tomorrowland?

And, over in Adventureland, we noticed that the Abu statue is also holding a new little symbol! This one resembles a compass, which tracks with the theming of Adventureland. So far, these are the only two updated statues we’ve spotted but we’ll be keeping an eye out for more!
