Disney World Cast Members literally can take any bad day and turn it all around.
Most of the time when we hear about Disney World Cast Members we’re begging you to stop doing things, spilling secrets, or telling you everything about our favorite mode of Disney transportation, but we don’t always get to hear about special moments they create, so here’s one for you now.
We were fortunate enough to have our own unique experience with a “pixie dust” moment while dining recently at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. We stopped into the Crew’s Cup Lounge for a quick bite and to unwind after a long day.
Our server was hard at work seating incoming people, taking orders, putting in orders he had just taken, delivering them to all the tables, AND cleaning them for the next set of folks so we could have very easily just been “another table” on a very busy night, but he went out of his way to make it extra special for us.
As we were wrapping up and when dropping off our check to the table he paused for a moment and presented us with this single rose made from paper napkins. It was delicately twisted and folded together to form the exact outline and as he presented it, he told us the quick legend behind it… “legend has it, if it smells like a rose then it means you’re a princess.” And he was RIGHT! It did smell like a rose. This was just the right touch to help someone turn their day around and make them feel extra special. While we can’t guarantee this experience for every interaction with a Cast Member at Disney World, it’s a nice reminder that “magic” still exists here and lives through the Cast Members who make it.

My mum and I were at the contemporary for dinner one evening and as we waited for our time slot we were sat in the lobby. Some cast members came up to us with a box full of cookies, one each, and just gave them to us. It was very magical!
