Don't Meet Figment At EPCOT Without Reading THIS First

If you consider yourself a Disney adult, then you probably know that D23 events are like Christmas Morning for those of us that keep up with all things hip and happening in the theme parks.

Over the weekend, we got TONS of big news at the Destination D23 event. A lot of this news was regarding one of our FAVORITE places: EPCOT! Test Track is getting reimagined, there’s a new fireworks show coming to EPCOT later this year, and Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana will open on October 16th. Among our favorite bits of news was the fact that a Figment meet and greet would start in the Imagination Pavilion on September 10th! If you’re hoping to go meet Figment soon, we have a bit of a WARNING.

Of course, we attended the Figment meet and greet on the very first day. (What? He’s our favorite purple dragon!) The one downside to the ENTIRE experience was how long the line was.

Whew!

We waited in line for 2 HOURS (!!!) to meet Figgy. We hopped in line right after the experience became available at 10AM, and the line got increasingly long after that. Cast Members cut the line off around 2 or 3PM.

So… our one piece of advice? GET THERE EARLY. We know it can be annoying to stand around and wait in the area until the queue officially opens, but it could seriously save you a LOT of time.

Since the meet and greet experience is new, we probably won’t see a drop in wait times for a while — just because a lot of folks will be so excited to meet Figment when their trip rolls around.
