A Disney World Attraction CLOSES — See the Changes in Magic Kingdom

Disney is always working on ways to make your next trip to the parks different from the rest.

From new rides and shows to new restaurants and more, no two visits are alike. We learned a new character would be joining the Magic Kingdom lineup, but that meant we had to say goodbye to another. And now, that meet and greet is no more.

Earlier this year, Disney announced that they would be transforming one Magic Kingdom meet-and-greet to an Encanto-themed character experience where guests can meet the film’s star, Mirabel.

But, that means we have to say goodbye to our brave girl Merida at Fairytale Gardens — because this meet and greet has officially closed.

Before we got to the park, we noticed that the My Disney Experience app had been updated to say Merida is meeting at the Enchanted Glade Gazebo. Many fans were wondering if Merida would still have a meet and greet in Magic Kingdom, but now we have our answer!

We walked by Fairytale Gardens and it was empty and closed off.

As we made our way to the gazebo, we saw a line start to form and we knew we were in the right place. It’s Merida’s new spot!

You can meet the Pixar princess in Liberty Square right by Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe.

We noticed that this spot has trees all around which made for some strange lighting. Just something to keep in mind if you plan to get pictures with Merida!
