VIDEO: See A Popular Disney World Ride Get Evacuated!

Another day, another Disney World ride malfunction.

Tomorrowland

It happens more often than you might think, with rides often going down for technical difficulties and other reasons. Usually, a ride might stop for a bit but will begin moving again momentarily — but sometimes, the outcome is far, far worse.

The Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover was evacuated in Magic Kingdom recently! We spotted this scenario on a July 3rd visit with Cast Members ushering guests out of ride vehicles to safety.

This ride has been known to break down quite often — it was even closed for a lengthy refurbishment not too long ago. We were hoping that closure might address some of the issues with the ride breaking down, but it looks as though that may not have happened. The PeopleMover is a classic Magic Kingdom attraction that takes you on a leisurely ride through Tomorrowland — and we love it!

From an evacuation in January

It’s a favorite of many fans, which is why it’s such a bummer when it breaks down. If this ever happens to you, make sure you sit tight and wait for directions from Cast Members. They’re trained to keep you safe in situations like this, so make sure to listen to their guidance before making any sudden moves.

It’s also important to be flexible and go with the flow when things like this happen. Nothing is worse than being disappointed in Disney World, so try to remember that things may not always go according to plan — and that’s okay.
