Costco is where a lot of people go to stock up on their groceries and essentials before (and during) their Disney World trips, so we keep an eye on all the latest news so you know if things are changing.

If you’re a member and often get frustrated by the long lines to check out, we’ve been there right with you. However, just like on your Disney vacation, there will soon be a way that you can SKIP that long checkout line and go straight to the front — yes, it’s basically Lightning Lane for Costco.
According to Business Insider, Costco will be bringing back an additional perk for its higher-tier members, who are called executive members. Beginning on June 30th, executive members will now be allowed to enter the store an hour earlier than other members to get their shopping done in a less crowded environment.

Now, this isn’t entirely new. Executive members were previously offered extended shopping hours at some locations around the United States, but the perk was phased out in recent years, and this is the first we’re hearing of it coming back.

But that’s not all! In the email that Costco employees received, it also stated that “executive members would start receiving a $10 monthly credit for Instacart orders and $150 worth of other benefits and savings on Costco services.” This higher-tiered membership already comes with 2% cashback on all purchases. Executive memberships are double the regular $65 a year cost for Gold Star members, and account for “73% of the company’s total sales, according to the company.”
