The Haunted Mansion hits different at Halloween

The park looks so nice in the fall!

Additionally, guests with a Halloween Party ticket will be able to enter the park starting at 4PM to enjoy Magic Kingdom before the party starts.

Tickets for the event will go on sale to the general public on May 2nd.  Guests staying at Disney World hotels, the Disney World Swan Hotel, the Disney World Swan Reserve, the Disney World Dolphin Hotel, or Shades of Green on one of the party dates will have an early purchase opportunity starting on April 27th. In the past, we’ve seen select dates sell out, so make sure to grab those tickets as soon as possible!

Note that Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members can save $10 per ticket to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on select event nights.

Entertainment

The Cadaver Dans will be returning to this year’s party to sing some spooky tunes and make guests laugh during the party. Check the party schedule for showtimes. You’ll find them in Frontierland.

Cadaver Dans

Disney’s special entertainment is arguably one of the most exciting parts of the event. For this year’s event, Disney confirmed the return of the Sanderson sisters in the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular. This fun castle stage show draws some substantial crowds, so check the showtimes during your visit!

During the show, you can look for appearances by Winifred, Mary, Sarah, Dr. Facilier, Oogie Boogie, Maleficent, and more. Plus there will be visual projections, special effects, and dancers.

You’ll see all sorts of villains in this show!

Next, it wouldn’t be a party without a parade! Mickey’s Boo-to-You Parade is returning this year — complete with our favorite pirate pals and ghoulish gals! You’ll be able to see Minnie and Mickey in their Halloween costumes, Hitchhiking Ghosts and the spectral Bride from The Haunted Mansion, Disney Villains, a Fantasyland-inspired grand finale, and more.

Disney has also suggested some NEW faces might turn up in the parade this year.

The new entertainment will include:

  • Adventureland will be taken over by a spirited pirate band and their crew. Be sure to listen for their sea shanties while their shipmates roam the land sharing tales of their explorations at sea.
  • Get ready for even more chances to “Stand Out” with Max Goof and his Powerline party pack at new pop-up parties throughout Magic Kingdom before this popular crew dances onto Main Street U.S.A. ahead of Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade.
  • The Seven Dwarfs will be returning to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Even if you are a little bashful, stop by and say hello! They’ll be happy to see you.
  • Mickey’s Boo-to-You Parade will be more villainous than ever, with favorite foes Ursula, Cruella de Vil, the Queen of Hearts, and the newly announced Sanderson Sisters Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, and Clarabell joining the frightful finale — which you could only see on select Disney Cruise Line sailings last year.
The Dead Head Band ROCKS!

To complete the night, be sure to catch Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks show! The show features Mickey and the gang, and it’s hosted by the king of Halloween, Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas!

There will be projections, lasers, lights, fireworks, and much more.

It’s a spooktacular show!

If you’ve got some little Disney Junior fans, check out the Disney Junior Jam at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe! It’s a cute little dance party featuring Disney Junior friends — and it usually isn’t very crowded.

Look out for some fun characters, too!

Character Meet and Greets

There are typically TONS of characters out and about throughout the park during the Halloween Party. It’s always a pleasure to catch up with our friends and learn about their favorite Halloween treats.

The Mad Hatter loves to talk tricks and treats, naturally!

Disney hasn’t confirmed just what characters will appear but we’ll be on the lookout for more details.

Activities

It wouldn’t be a Halloween party without candy! Luckily, there will be plenty of trick-or-treating locations throughout the park.

Trick-or-Treating at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Typically, you’ll find M&M’S, Skittles, Starburst, Snickers, and more! And usually, Halloween Party guests will receive a special reusable trick-or-treat bag. This year’s candy is sponsored by Mars-Wrigley.

Allergy-friendly items will also be available: just see a Cast Member to get a teal trick-or-treat bag. When you visit the trick-or-treat stations, you’ll get teal tokens that you can trade for allergy-friendly treats.

Rides

If you plan to spend the night on Disney attractions, we’ve got good news! You’ll be able to ride plenty of your favorites during the party, including Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and TRON Lightcycle / Run.

Disney has said that some rides will have “spellbinding surprises.” In the past, some rides have had special overlays during the party so we’ll be interested to see if those are the “surprises” Disney has in store.

Oooh, real pirates!
