There’s a lot coming to Disney World in 2023 — TRON Lightcycle Run, the completion of the EPCOT transformation, and an all-new restaurant, Roundup Rodeo BBQ!

The new table service spot is coming to Hollywood Studios soon, so we’re rounding up (pun intended!) everything we know about the restaurant before its grand opening. Let’s dive in!
Opening Timeline
For starters, the opening timeline! Roundup Rodeo BBQ was originally supposed to open in 2022, but the opening was recently delayed to spring 2023. Disney hasn’t yet announced a month or date, but we’ll be awaiting further details.

We also don’t yet know when dining reservations will be available for the new spot, but we’ll pass on the information as soon as we find out.
Location
Where will you find Roundup Rodeo? It’s going to be located just inside the main entrance of Toy Story Land, right past the giant sign with Woody and before Slinky Dog Dash. If you visited recently, you’ve likely noticed the construction walls there. Currently, the space is blocked off with a green scrim and tan tarps.

Based on the concept art, it looks like it’ll be set back slightly from the main walkway, so you’ll have to take a short path back to the doorway.
Theming & Atmosphere
What’s the theme of the new place? Well, the backstory is that Andy has made a restaurant for Woody and all his other toys. The western-style setting has a steam train supported by colored pencils, a house of cards, and game boards with characters from the Toy Story movies. There’s also a “cardboard box arena” where Andy has hand-drawn audience members. “The dining room also features the rodeo’s star performers: Jessie, Trixie, and Bo Peep with her leapin’ sheep Billy, Goat, and Gruff!”

The Imagineers worked closely with Pixar animators to make the characters we know authentic and even design new characters for the space! They also created full comic strips for Woody, which guests will see on the restaurant’s ceiling.
Menu
We don’t know a whole lot about the menu yet, but we do know that they’ll be serving “barbecue-inspired comfort foods served family-style, with platters of house-smoked meats, a roundup of sides, and some miniature sweet surprises along the way.”

There will be two different dining rooms where you could be served, and we can’t wait to see which specific items they put on the menu!

That’s a wrap on everything we know so far about Roundup Rodeo BBQ! We’ll continue to update you as we get more information, especially once we get an official opening date.
