If you haven’t been to Disney World in a while, you’ll notice on your next trip that things are looking pretty different! The 50th Anniversary is still going strong, and there are new rides and restaurants in the parks.

But a less exciting update is all the things that are currently CLOSED in the parks and at the Disney hotels. To prevent any unwelcome surprises, check out this list of what’s going to be unavailable in Disney World this week, from September 11th through the 17th.
Magic Kingdom Closures
Walt Disney World Railroad
The Walt Disney World Railroad is still closed, and Disney hasn’t announced yet when it will reopen.

We’ve seen some signs that it could reopen soon, such as train testing and Cast Member training at the attraction, and it has also disappeared from Disney World’s refurbishments calendar. However, it is still not showing any opening hours on Disney’s website, so it’s not quite ready to return yet.
Tomorrowland Light & Power Co.
The Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. gift shop is also closed in Magic Kingdom. This is the store that people usually walk through after riding Space Mountain, but visitors are being directed to exit a different way for now.

The gift shop doesn’t have a reopening date yet, and it looked pretty empty inside the last time we saw it. The shop is currently surrounded by construction for the TRON: Lightcycle Run ride, so it may remain closed until that construction is finished.
Enchanted Tales with Belle
This attraction, where guests can meet Belle and help her tell the story of Beauty and the Beast, is still closed.

Disney hasn’t announced when it’ll return, but in the meantime, you can watch the Beauty and the Beast — Live on Stage show in Disney’s Hollywood Studios instead.
Pete’s Silly Sideshow
Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Daisy used to greet guests at this location, but the Silly Sideshow has been closed for a while now. Disney has said that this spot will reopen “in the coming months.”

You can meet Minnie with Mickey at Town Square Theater right now!
Meet Ariel at Her Grotto
Another character meet-and-greet is also closed — Ariel’s Grotto. This Little Mermaid character spot has been closed for a while with no reopening date in sight.

You can still ride the nearby Little Mermaid attraction, Under the Sea — Journey of the Little Mermaid.
You should leave Magic Kingdom to eat — here’s where to go instead.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios Closures
Fantasmic!
The popular nighttime show Fantasmic! is still closed, but we’re hoping to hear an announcement about its reopening date soon! So far, we just know that it should reopen sometime in 2022.

Disney has announced that Cast Member rehearsals have begun — that means we’re getting close to the reopening!
Voyage of the Little Mermaid
This Little Mermaid show is still closed in Hollywood Studios, and it doesn’t have a reopening date yet.

Disney’s silence on the topic of this show has us wondering if it will reopen at all — we’ll be sure to keep you updated with any news we hear.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Closures
Feathered Friends in Flight
This show teaches visitors about the birds of Animal Kingdom, with trainers showing how they work with the animals.

The show will be closed from September 11th through the 24th. In the meantime, you can check out other shows in this park like the popular Festival of the Lion King.
Check out the new park map at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
EPCOT Closures
Canada Far & Wide in CircleVision 360
Canada Far & Wide in CircleVision 360 is closed right now as an EPCOT Food & Wine Festival booth is currently using the space.

The Appleseed Orchard booth has an apple crumble tart and a few apple-flavored drinks. We’re expecting the movie attraction to return once the festival ends on November 19th.
Here’s what you should budget for the 10 BEST items at the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival.
Disney Water Park Refurbishments
Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park
Disney’s Blizzard Beach is currently closed, but you can still visit Typhoon Lagoon — Disney World’s OTHER water park.

Disney hasn’t announced when Blizzard Beach will reopen, but we’ll be on the lookout for updates about the park.
Find out what’s going on with Blizzard Beach construction here.
Right now, you can still enjoy lots of fun Halloween treats, decor, and merchandise in the parks. If you haven’t already bought your tickets for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you’ll want to do that soon — many dates have already sold out for the event!
