MagicBands are a fun Disney World accessory — and they’re also functional!

You don’t HAVE to wear a MagicBand in Disney World but they do offer a convenient way for guests to enter a Disney Park, unlock their hotel room, scan into Lightning Lanes, and more. There are all kinds of fun and unique designs for guests to show off their favorite Disney characters, and now you have some NEW MagicBand designs to choose from!
Over in Pin Traders in EPCOT, we spotted FOUR new MagicBands! Two of them are limited release, with one specially released for Disney World Annual Passholders.

From left to right, we saw a new Dante MagicBand (he’s from Disney and Pixar’s Coco!), a white limited release Figment MagicBand, and a yellow limited release Annual Passholder Figment MagicBand.

There’s also a new Bo Peep MagicBand, featuring a cute cartoon design of Bo from Toy Story.

Both Figment MagicBands are $34.99, while Bo Peep and Dante are $29.99. Head to Pin Traders in EPCOT if you want to snag one!

In case you missed it, Disney is also planning to release the new MagicBand+ sometime this summer. While classic MagicBands are basically bracelets that use RFID technology, the MagicBand+ will have some additional features, like haptics and lights.

We don’t know exactly when the MagicBand+ will be released this summer, but we’re watching closely for any appearances in Disney Parks. If you prefer the classic MagicBand, don’t worry! You’ll still be able to use it after the MagicBand+ is released.
Head to Pin Traders in EPCOT (or keep your eyes open around Disney World) to grab one of these new MagicBands, and keep following AllEars for more Disney shopping news!

Are magic bands given to guests staying at the resort or must you still pay for them?
Hi Janet! Unfortunately, MagicBands are no longer free if you’re staying at a resort.
