NEWS: A New Restaurant is Coming to Disney Springs

Disney Springs is already full of restaurants to pick from — but your food choices are about to get a little bit more difficult!

We’ve already seen a number of new spots open for business in Disney Springs, including the Local Green Orlando food truck and Salt & Straw ice cream, but now a NEW restaurant is on its way!

Summer House Santa Monica recently announced on their Instagram page that they will be opening a restaurant called “Summer House on the Lake” in Disney Springs in 2023.

They’ve also shared what appears to be some concept art for their new location. Looks like it has a very tropical vibe.

Summer House Santa Monica currently operates locations in Chicago, IL and North Bethesda, MD.

According to the website, this spot’s current locations serve up a California-inspired menu. The restaurant is led by Chef Ben Goodnick and features “simple ingredients sourced from local grower partnerships and sustainable products.”

They’ve also got rose poured all day from the Rose Cart, an extensive wine list, and more.

Their Instagram features images of pizzas, healthier items like asparagus, pasta, a brunch menu with waffles, and more!

We can’t wait to see what the Disney Springs location will feature on its menu. We’ll be sure to look for more updates!

The North Bethesda location appears to be very open and airy, so we’ll be interested to see if that same concept and design comes to the Disney Springs spot.

Based on their website, it appears Summer House Santa Monica is a part of/owned by the “Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants” group. This is the same group that was set to open Beatrix in Disney Springs. Beatrix was set to be a spot with a bakery, full-service bar, and lots of healthy food options. Construction on Beatrix was put on pause back in 2021, and the space was supposed to become a green space until the project restarts.
