We have seen so many changes and updates to character meet and greets since the reopening of Disney parks.

Slowly but surely, more character experiences are returning to the parks — albeit still modified. Character dining has changed, too, which left us waving at our favorite pals from afar. But, one popular Disney World restaurant is shaking things up with how you meet its namesake character — let’s see what’s changed!
Cinderella’s Royal Table is an extremely popular restaurant in Magic Kingdom, giving you the chance to actually go inside and dine inside Cinderella Castle.

Prior to the pandemic, the meal would also feature appearances by several Disney princesses. When the restaurant reopened back in 2020, that process had evolved, so that you would only see Cinderella make a brief appearance from afar as you dined.

When we went to our reservation today, we were ushered into a room with Cinderella! She was up on stage, posing for photos with guests, as Cast Members were directing groups through the experience.

During our visit, four groups were ushered into the room at a time. It was more similar to the character meet and greet experiences we’ve seen offered throughout the parks, where you are able to take a picture with her from afar. Overall, the whole experience was fairly rushed, and we did not see Cinderella again throughout our time dining.

We checked with Cast Members several times to see if Cinderella would be available to meet after the meal as well, but were told the pre-meal experience is the only one available as of now.
