Disney World isn’t always sunshine and roses. While visiting Disney World can be absolutely amazing and wonderful, there are several embarrassing things that can happen during your visit — not that we’re speaking from experience or anything.

Take a look at this list to avoid these embarrassing situations.
Animal Mishaps
Disney World is filled with wildlife, and that can result in some…challenges. Like, for example, a bird pooping on you as it flies overhead. If you see a flock of birds in Disney World, find some cover.
You might also come across an animal stealing your food, especially if you’re eating in EPCOT at the Regal Eagle Smokehouse. These birds will climb right up on your table and steal your fries! Though depending on your personality, this could be more upsetting than embarrassing. Don’t touch my food, you bird!

So watch out for wildlife in Disney World! We didn’t even mention the times we’ve screamed at the sight of a snake or a rat. Oh, no — not going there.
Wearing White
Maybe DON’T choose to wear white in Disney World, especially if you plan to ride water rides. You might experience water ride transparency issues…aka see-through pants.

And if you tend to not look before sitting down somewhere, maybe avoid wearing white. Sitting on a melted Mickey Bar in light-colored pants is, shall we say, not fun.

It’s not a bad idea to double-check your Disney World wardrobe for potential malfunctions before your visit!
Trolley Track Encounters
Have you ever tripped and fallen in Disney World? Well, we have. And most of the time it has something to do with the trolley tracks, as seen on Main Street, U.S.A., in Magic Kingdom.

Even though we KNOW they’re there, it’s like they have a magnetic pull to our ankles. And every time we visit, we trip at least once. So much tripping.
PhotoPass Awkwardness
PhotoPass can lead to some serious awkwardness. How do we pose? Where do we look? And what about some of the more unusual PhotoPass Magic Shots, like the Tiny World Magic Shot that makes everyone have giant heads and tiny bodies?

Or what about when the Magic Shot places you in some kind of photo within a photo, like this one of Molly framed above Cinderella’s mantle with Cinderella gazing adoringly.

Sometimes weird things happen too, like the photo zooming in wayyyy too closely for no reason.

And what about when the Magic Shot doesn’t work?! The Magic Shot below DID work, but sometimes there’s a glitch, and the animated image doesn’t appear and you’re left with a photo of you holding your hand out with…nothing there.

Glitches happen, but even just the process of posing for photos can feel so embarrassing. We probably need to take a professional modeling class.
Wardrobe Malfunctions
Be careful climbing in and out of ride vehicles for various reasons, like oh, maybe, ripping your pants. This actually happened to someone we know, and he really had to buy new pants. Before your visit maybe do some stretches in your pants to test their integrity. Though that’s also kind of embarrassing, at least you can do it in the privacy of your own hotel room.

Or if you’re wearing the wrong kind of outfit, getting in and out of certain rides can get VERY awkward. Let this be your warning: Wear shorts under your skirt.

Embarrassing moments can happen anywhere, and the best advice may be just to laugh and move on with your magical day. Still, maybe you can avoid SOME of these moments with a little preparation before your Disney World visit.

No mention of having swimwear torn to shreds on Summit Plummet! Tough to walk away at the bottom of that ride with any dignity intact!!
That happened to a, ahem, friend of mine!
I watched a bird circling over my friends until he got the perfect angle to dive bomb the two
of them! It all looked planned out! And then there was the time I was admiring the view in The Land
while going down the escalator and I lost my balance and fell. I wasn’t hurt, but was very embarrassed!
Ah, good times…
I dropped the “F” bomb in front of my young children for the first time in EPCOT . We entered somewhere to eat lunch and there must have been 500 people in line . Add in Major heat and my son crying he wanted a PB and J sandwich . We walked out and then the obscenities started flying . Tons of fun to be had , but sometimes the frustration works it’s way in …. LOL
When security used to go through your backpack, an extra pair of my underpants went flying out onto the table. I brought them in case Kali River drenched me. Another time I walked out in front of a Disney bus. Why? I still don’t know. Another time, a Disney cast member gently reminded me to watch my granddaughter; we had just exited Test Track and she insisted on climbing in a vehicle. Yes, she shut the car door on her finger. Fast run to First aid, no real harm done. They were great. I dropped a big blob of tomato soup on my lap in white shorts. That stain did not want to budge. Many drink drops, squirrel jumped on me and scratched my leg. Was sure an infection was on the way. Many mysterious bug bites that lasted forever. A frog attached itself to my resort glass door. I went to look at it and it JUMPED ON ME. I screamed. Once I saw a woman slip and fall when it was raining, right by the hill near France. She actually rolled down the hill. I can think of a hundred more ridiculous Disney situations. It’s always funny looking back. Except walking in front of that bus. Thank God for the alert driver
Don’t forget forgetting not to sit up front at water shows then getting drenched in front of everyone and realizing you knew better. 🙄🤪
