Disney Revealed Project EXO in Person

A while back, we shared a video of Disney’s Project EXO, where Imagineers were trying to engineer new ways to bring large characters to life in the Disney parks. On Saturday, this tech was brought onstage at Destination D23, and we got to see it in person!

How cool is this?!

The costumes make use of robotic exoskeletons that performers can use to comfortably interact with guests. With this tech, Disney could expand the number of characters in the park, eventually offering meet and greets with characters like Marvel’s Hulk.
