We’re here with all the Destination D23 news from today!
Josh D’Amaro, Chairperson of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, presented this morning with all kinds of news and updates for Disney Parks around the world. Included in his announcements was a BIG update for Disneyland Resort and we’ve got all the deets.
Starting in January, Downtown Disney in Disneyland Resort will be embarking on a multi-year expansion project. AMC Downtown Disney has already closed, and it will be replaced by a totally remodeled and expanded Downtown Disney area.
Concept art revealed plans for an open lawn, more dining, AND more shopping.
The open lawn will be a space for guests to relax and hang out, according to Josh D’Amaro.
This expansion project will begin in January and we’re excited to see what’s coming to Downtown Disney! Stay tuned to AllEars today for all the news from Destination D23!
